UNBELIEVABLY BAD EXPERIENCE! Attempting to switch from Moffitt after 10 years I made an appointment. Waiting in a doctor’s office should be expected. They’re important people with many relying on their expertise and compassion. My experience with this doctor went much further than the simple and standard waiting. Worse, it was the doctors manner that caused me to walk out. After 1 hour and 44 minutes I finally was able to meet the person with the doctor’s degree. He walked in, asks who referred me, his cell phone rang and he answered the phone with a “hey buddy” response to the caller. He never came back. You might think this an exaggeration but be assured this is an accurate depiction of the series of events. People with cancer deserve better care. Make your own decisions but I typically give only 5 stars for great service or 1 star for an extremely disappointing customer experience. Clearly this is a 1 star warning.

All the staff are polite and helpful. My Oncologist Dr Barakat is the best. He takes time to talk to you, make you comfortable and I feel he looks at each person individually.

I have been going to FLORIDA CANCER at BROOKSVILLE since February 2020 for a number of blood cancer and other medical complications due to my exposure to Agent Orange while serving three terms in Vietnam from 1967 to 1970.
Dr. Aymen Barakat has been a godsend for me. He and Jill Gilbert are continuing to help me with the fatigue, I still encounter with my CLL diagnosis.
I would highly recommend FLORIDA CANCER specialist to anyone With CANCER or other Oncology needs!
All the staff that I have encountered over the years have been outstanding.

Florida Cancer Specialists are the best, the staff is very welcoming, the nurses in the treatment room are excellent and Dr. Barakat is the best, he is simply the best, always make you feel so good after a visit with him! All in all the best!!

The girls who take the blood are always so friendly, have smiles on their faces. Don’t want to forget the receptionists also smiles on their faces. The last two visits I didn’t see Dr.Barakat, saw his nurse who is very nice and explains everything. Thank God I am not as sick as other patients.

I like their system of getting labs done in the same day & building as the appt with Dr Barakat. Scans are also scheduled there, with labs done the week before and follow up appt a few days after the scan. Dr Barakat was very kind.

Was happy with the blood work and the follow up treatment. Was totally confused when I found out I had no Doctor visit. My daughter was done from Wisconsin and was looking forward to an update. I understand how far behind my Doctor was due to the intensity of the hurricane and realize a lot of catchup was in order.

Dr Barakat is so knowledgeable. He has been my oncologist for about five years. My case was complex. We tried several treatments, most of which were not successful. However, he NEVER gave up on me and ultimately, in coordination with Moffitt, I underwent a successful bone marrow transplant.

Throughout the entire time I have been under his care, Dr. Barakat has always been honest with me as to what to expect with treatment.

I am eternally grateful to Dr. Barakat and to the other doctors he consulted with during the most difficult years of my life.
