My son started receiving services from Pacific Child, later changed to Autism Learning Partners who's working under contract with Easter Seals of Southern California. After Pacific Child were swallowed up by ALP, the whole thing has been nothing but headaches and troubles. For examples, progress reports were never given until a couple of years later when I filed a complaint with Easter Seals and Kaiser. They also have issues with their business model that causes inflexibility in the provision of services. They put their business model ahead of patients needs. They cut hours but if they cannot work more than 2 hours per day, the'll not come thus affecting continuity of care. Basically, is their way or the highway. Currently, they reduced my son's ABA hours to 3 hours per week from 5 per week. The 5 hours per week were provided over a period of two days. Due to the change, they want to use all three hours in one day which infringes upon my son's other equally important activities that provide for additional therapeutic benefit to him in other areas of need that ALP should have addressed but never did. I proposed that the service continued to be provided in two days 1 1/2 hours per day. They said no citing their business model and the minimum amount of hours to they can provided on a single day! After contacting Easter Seals, they felt that my request was well within reason but ALP are not bulging. Now, continuity of care is jeopardized by their intransigence and onerous business practices. I did offer other alternatives but I have not heard from them yet. I have requested another agency to come and provide the authorized hours within a week. That's how short of a notice I had to accommodate them.

ALP is one of the worst agencies that I’ve ever worked with. Their behavioral therapists aren’t highly trained, and they keep quitting . ALP has a very poor communication and zero problem solving skills with clients . We just wasted our time with this company. It was such a relief for my husband and I to finally switch to another agency. I definitely do not recommend them.

Worst experience ever! Avoid this company at all costs. After waiting over two months for our ABA to be approved, the bahvioral therapist who would spend 80 hrs/week with our son sat on the couch for the entire 3 hours session without saying a word. No getting on the floor to play along with our 2 yr old. No words. No communication. No prompting. No asking questions. NO EYE CONTACT. Zero interest in kids. How on earth does Autism Learning Partners pick these people?!?! You have got to be kidding me. Any random person off the street would be a million times better than the behavioral therapist we received. And this was *after* I asked about the behavior therapist's experience!! Oh my God. This is how they treat their clients. Do not even consider this company. Worst experience ever.
