The staff and facility were nice, BUT that will not make up for the fact that our dog Lucy's pelvic fractures, spinal injuries, and resulting blocked colon went completely unnoticed for her 2 night stay. We were given every indication that Lucy would make a full recovery, but her tail and two toes would need to be amputated. We made an appointment with a local vet to have her surgeries bc the cost was $3000 cheaper than the quote we were given to have the surgeries in the hospital (though, i will say, they were completely open and blunt at the high cost of their services). During that appointment the vet surgeon did x-rays and found all of the internal injuries these morons missed. The surgeon called them "extremely extensive". As a result, we had to euthanize our poor baby after spending over $1200 thinking she could be saved. It has been a heartbreak for our entire family. Especially since we were told she would make a full recovery. If I could give no stars I would. As far as I'm concerned, future veterinarians are wasting their money studying here. RIP Lucy.

They are so kind and professional with the treatment of your little family members. Our little rescue girl was a train wreck when we adopted her. They jumped on all her issues and one by one knocked them down to a manageable point. Her quality of life is so much better. This will be her final home, and with some help from AUV it will be a enjoyable as possible.

Thank you to Dr. Moise and the amazing vet techs that took care of my baby and the calm, helpful people at the reception desk. On Saturday evening, my dog was attacked in my own fenced yard by a neighbor’s dog who has a history of getting over the fence and even running away within the neighborhood. My dog’s cheek was completely open and lacerated. Living in Columbus despite being the 2nd largest city in Georgia and almost 3x the size of Auburn, we do not have an emergency vet. I called around and was even advised to stay away from Auburn’s emergency vet because I was told “they’re not good about seeing people in a timely manner”, I called anyways and was told they were able to put my baby on the board in advance for when I would get there after the hour drive.
They were all so friendly and transparent about what they planned on doing. After checking in, it took about an hour to be seen only because there were a few other dogs with more urgent cases. I didn’t have any doubts at any point while I was there from about 9pm to 4am due to my dog needing surgery on his face where the skin needed to be cleansed, cut, stitched, along with some additional bloodwork to make sure his kidneys could handle certain medications. I was able to pay, though they did tell me upfront that the bill review department is closed after hours and that I may receive further billing in the mail. For the quality and attention and care my dog received, I am very impressed and so grateful. Thank you!

My local veterinarian was unable to help. My dog was apparently hit by a car his femur broken into four pieces. I was able to get hold of Auburn veterinary hospital where they were able to install a plate.

I took my dog here because his ear was bleeding from a dog fight late Sunday evening. 4 hours pass and I’m told they sedated him, cleaned the wound and he has sutures. I get my dog and his whole entire head is wrapped up. I was told he has sutures and I was charged for sutures. I take him home and the next day I take him to our normal vet Opelika Animal hospital and they unwrap him and there are no sutures. When you take your animal somewhere as in a Veterinarian, you assume the issue will be resolved especially when you spend 4 hours there and over $400.00. He sat here all night with me bleeding because he had no sutures to stop the bleeding, Opelika Animal Hospital cost me $143 to sedate my dog and give him sutures. Do not go to auburn university emergency vet clinic. I have attached photos of how he was when we got home Sunday/Monday morning and picture of his ear that were taken at Opelika Animal Hospital. Along with photos of him still bleeding(the same condition he was in when I brought him to AU emergency vet)

Although my poor fur baby died in the end, overall, these guys are caring, knowledgable, hard working and honest. I hope I never need to visit there again, but should the need arise, I would not think twice before taking my pet to them. Thank you all for trying to save my Pluto. Also, thank you for the clay paw prints. That was very thoughtful and special.

One of our cats had been sick for several weeks with no clear cause of illness. She was seen by our primary veterinarian twice and had several blood tests completed. Her most recent blood test pointed to a (possible) very rare and very deadly illness. Our veterinarian advised us that she would need to be hospitalized, and our choices were UGA Veterinary or Auburn. Due to proximity to home, we chose Auburn.

This facility, staff, and students are incredible. The care and communication you receive is simply amazing. The potential illness that brought us to Auburn did, in fact, occur, but our cat is doing exceptionally well, with monthly return visits to Auburn for her check-up appointments.

Thank you Auburn team!
