I went once. They come highly recommend but the doc had an issue with me recording. I'd encourage them to read Alabama Code § 13A-11-30. I also encourage anyone who takes their Healthcare seriously to record (you dont have to tell them). The person referring me told me their doc encouraged it. I'm baffled. They are nice people. Now due to the fear someone maybe saying something somewhere (seemingly the doc), I will have to keep looking for halfway decent healthcare. This isn't how it was meant to be. I wish you all the best. And one hour = 37-43 mins. I'm just kinda wondering why the other 20 I've gone to were 60. I'd do more research for this one. Expectations were not met. You have the right to record YOUR visit. Period. This is actually now affecting my mental health in a negative way. Why are they so afraid?

The people are nice; however, they have no concept or expectations of reasonable timelines. We began an evaluation process with for our daughter in August. We have yet to receive our report and it’s November. Multiple phone calls only tell me “it’s on the supervisor’s desk” “it will be about 2 weeks” I am almost certain the first time I called to check they had simply forgotten about her.
None of which are even remotely close to accurate. Having someone in the office who knows business and how to run a business would be a HUGE value add to the practice. We were on the waitlist for 6 months. All monies were paid on time. Lack of urgency & efficiency are incredibly aggravating. I now understand why there is such a waitlist.
if this is how things are done.
We continue to wait for the results of a quite routine assessment.

We have seen Dr. DeRamus for about 6 months now. She diagnosed my son and we have been doing therapies with her once a week since his autism diagnosis was made. She is wonderful, but the front desk staff has been completely terrible. We have ran in to multiple problems with filing insurance claims. They do not seem to have any training whatsoever with any insurance that is not BCBS. Having them provide me with the necessary information to file myself was nearly impossible. Also, they text to confirm appointments, but require a phone call to cancel. Then, they won’t answer their phone and try to charge in full for a late cancellation. It is a shame the front desk is so terrible, because Dr. DeRamus is great. The cons outweigh the pros for us though, and we will be looking for a therapist with better staff.

Very professional and friendly staff. I think my doctor could tell I wasn't excited to be there in The beginning but now I look foward to the time I get.with her. She does a good job of trying to balance me out when I put too much on myself... stress and worried .. all in all this place is 5 stars all the way!
