My first visit with Auburn Med Spa was for a stop the clock facial a few months ago in May. I used to go to Massage Envy for my facials on a monthly basis but my favorite esthetician retired. Massage Envy unfortunately had a difficult time replacing her with another skilled and personable full time esthetician. I booked my facial with Auburn Med Spa hoping this could be a place that I loved as much as I did going to Massage Envy. My first appointment at Auburn Med Spa was with Tara and she was very kind and did an amazing job with my facial so as I was heading to the front desk to checkout, I had high hopes of continuing my facial services here. I unfortunately had an awful experience upon checkout though. I went to give the woman at the front desk checking me out my credit card, she asked if it was ok to use my payment method setup in their system instead, if it’s the same card, and I said yes since I entered that in when I booked my appointment and it was the same card. She printed the receipt out and I added a tip and signed the receipt so I thought all was well. I started heading down the stairs to leave. I heard someone on the stairs behind me but couldn’t see them because of the way the stairs wind around. I thought that was strange because I didn’t see anyone leaving when I was. No one said my name as they were walking down the stairs either. I get to the bottom of the stairs and look behind me and see the woman at the front desk and she says ma’am your card transaction didn’t go through. I was confused because she printed the receipt, etc. so I thought it had already processed when I was at the front desk. I had the funds to cover the services also so I was even more confused and didn’t understand why it didn’t go through. She had this look on her face as if I was trying to skip out and not pay for the services that I had just received. I go back upstairs with her and give her my physical card instead of her using what’s in the system and the expression on her face still looks like she thinks I was trying to not pay for my services. The transaction went through with my physical card (the same card in the system). I was mortified by that whole experience. It felt like she was treating me like a criminal. I logged into my Auburn Med Spa later on and looked at the payment method to make sure I didn’t make a mistake in what I entered in and it then prompted me for my zip code which was odd because that had already been added initially so I’m not sure if she entered in the wrong zip code during processing of the payment or what happened. Not sure what their process is when processing payments. It was really odd though. Worst experience ever. I hesitated to add this review also because I do not usually post negative reviews but the way this was so poorly handled I felt I needed to. I did go back for a second facial last month because I really enjoyed the facial I received from Tara. Bethany was my esthetician the 2nd time and she did a great job also and I didn’t experience the same issue at checkout. However, it was difficult for me to be there because I was worried the same issue would occur at checkout. It literally gave me anxiety just being there which is not relaxing for me at all so I started going to another spa in Auburn for my facials where I can fully relax and not be treated like a criminal when I leave.

I have been looking for a place to get a massage in auburn for a while now. Joe did a wonderful job and made sure I was comfortable and relaxed during my massage. I will absolutely be coming back in the future

I was in a head-on collision several years ago and have recurring issues with my neck and back. Tried a chiropractor numerous times and wasn't getting any relief. Decided to try a deep tissue massage and it really helped, I could tell almost immediately. I've had massages a couple other places and Tara was simply amazing!! I can't recommend this place highly enough, especially Tara...WOW!

I’m 36 weeks pregnant and was given a gift certificate for a prenatal massage. My appointment was with Sheryl and I just had to come on here and recommend her. She was absolutely outstanding. She made me feel extremely comfortable and I left feeling so relaxed and rested. I can’t say enough about her and the staff. Everyone was extremely kind and made my first experience here wonderful. I will definitely be going back and booking with Sheryl after I have my baby girl!

Raquel did my eyebrows and tattoo eyeliner and I am so, so pleased!! She’s very knowledgeable, professional, and so sweet!
Same for Summer! She did my wax and I highly recommend her! She’s so sweet and makes you feel comfortable within minutes of talking to her.
The entire staff is just so amazing!

I had a very good experience with Andrea for BBL photo therapy for rosacea. Andrea was so lovely and nice - she made me feel at east & was really the best! She explained everything thoroughly, answered all my questions, and talked me through the treatment itself. She did 2 passes - one for overall wrinkles/tone/rejuvenation & one specifically for redness. She also did my neck/chest. It was much, much less painful than I expected (YT videos say it feels like a hot rubber band, but it wasn't too bad for me), and Andrea was great about telling me where she was going with the device and warning me each time. My skin also did not look horrible after - not too red or swollen (and she even said my skin was more flushed than usual, which we expected due to my rosacea/flushing). I'm looking forward to seeing the final result in a week or 2.

I have been going here for about a year and a half and I have never had a bad experience. Just recently I got the prenatal massage, I last got one at 13 weeks it was good but my most recent trip yesterday at 37 weeks with the massage therapist Kenny, was excellent. He was very informative and I could tell he genuinely cares about the comfort and relaxation of his clients.

I feel like Auburn Med Spa is the best place in the Auburn-Opelika area to receive spa treatment from. Everyone is so kind and accommodating, from the receptionist to the therapists this place is truly a gem.
