The doctors were amazing throughout my pregnancy and I guess that’s what matters.

However, for women’s health terrible patient care. I called and left messages over the course of 20 days having issues with extreme cramping and such from a fibroid. Not only did I not get timely responses. When the nurse called she was so passive aggressive and rude. I was treated like a problem not a patient. She blamed them not getting me an appointment on a lack of doctors & said multiple times “I find it hard to believe that you did not know that from social media.” The truth is I didn’t know but the truth also is that it’s not my job to keep up with your HR problems. It’s my job to call when something is wrong with my body to get help. All that to say, I have a new doctor now.

I’ve been under there care of Dr. Sledge throughout my entire pregnancy. I travel from Panama City to Miramar every few weeks and I wouldn’t have done it any other way he’s been absolutely wonderful. Never once had an issue with any of the staff at this facility. I appreciate everyone

First experience with NP in Blue Water was wonderful. Consult with Dr. Tidwell was wonderful. Follow up for scheduling surgical procedure which was made out to be rather time sensitive was abysmal. It’s been over a month since my consult with the Doctor and was told by the scheduler that he has not put in my order, in spite of her “urgent” status. Requested communication as far as a timeline so I could prepare my work team and received no further communication. I’ve heard bad things about Ascension lately. Billing has been a major issue. Just sharing my experience. Reached out to another excellent provider who has me scheduled already. Maybe they’re just at capacity and don’t have the ability to do their jobs well. Definitely don’t recommend.

Dr. Jones was my primary physician through my pregnancy, and I can’t possibly say enough great things about her, she is wonderful. But when it was time for me to deliver, Dr. Tidwell was the on call doctor and even though I was a little nervous about not having Dr. Jones with me, I was never worried or concerned. Dr. Tidwell did an amazing job and handled my birth and immediate after care with ease. He is very kind and attentive and I would recommend anyone in this practice. Not to mention all the nurses and staff at the Family Birth Place really go above & beyond for their patients. 10/10 experience all around!!!

The absolute worst patient care. When I made my appointment the lady was adamant that I not be late or I would never be able to be a patient of theirs at any location. I waited for my appointment for 2 hours. When they took me back, they didn't even do half of what my appointment was for and had to "order" the birth control that the other half of the appointment. I had to wait almost a month for very important test results which left me in agony and I had to call several times before I received an answer. It's been 2 months and I'm still waiting for my birth control. This place is just a baby factory. They do not care about women's health

I loved my ultrasound tech, nurse, and of course Dr. Sledge! Everyone I encountered here were so kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. I feel very comfortable and confident being in the care of these wonderful individuals!

The way to get into the obgyn office from the hospital is to go into the medical office building and not the main entrance. Use the elevator to the third floor and follow directions in the halls to suite 310. They have lots of seats and bathrooms for patients so there shouldn't be a worry about seating or restrooms if you have a guest with you. The staff are good at answering the phone if you call and return messages. They have great interior decor that really gets your ready for your big day to have a baby. Lots of great professional photographs in the back walls when you are taken to your room. Stained and polished wood. Great decor, really love the feel. The doctor I had was Whitlock and shewed polite and answered questions I had and didn't mind taking a moment to hear my concerns and questions. Those are the goods. Now for the bads. Miscommunication between my general practitioner when she referred me to this office wad pretty big. My general doctor sent me here without giving this office a clear reason why, this place didn't ask them why either I'm assuming because the doctor here said i didnt need to be seen at all. So I drove all the way here for nothing. Even though I had no reason to have an appointment I still got to talk to the doctor for a certain time for any questions or concerns which lessened the blow and made it less of a waste of time than it was. There was a time when the doctor for days in a row did not call in my prescription after I called multiple times to get the prescription sent to the pharmacy. It should not take days for a prescription to be called in.

Absolutely love this location for all your OBGYN needs. Dr. Bakker is amazing, very attentive and makes you feel heard without feeling silly about those first time parent questions. Would 100% recommend requesting Kallan for your ultrasound visits! She is a sweetheart and extremely knowledgeable in her field. She gives out great information on what she is seeing, especially with those hard to capture moments. Overall give this team a 5 star!
