Got my food stamps/Insurance approved today over at the Yuma DES. I think the person who helped me is named Angel Martinez? The punk rock lady with blonde/black hair and cat eye makeup.

Anyways, she was SUPER helpful, friendly and extremely professional. Give that chick a raise!
If DES were a business, I'd shop there everyday just to talk to her again. Not enough friendly faces in government jobs. Today's experience was very refreshing.

Thanks for the help! ☺️

Adam Gomez was not only rude but kept rolling his eyes when my mother asked questions regarding her case. Not only did I get kicked out of the office for no longer being a “representative” in her case (which I have been for 11 years) but when I left he had to us an interpreter. My mom left feeling more confused & frustrated than how she arrived. You’d think that they would put Spanish cases with Spanish workers who actually can help & understand the client.

Smiles and caring in the front, but behind these compassionate federal programs are freemasons trying to hurt the people that need them, while they mooch off their government job.

They are absolutely useless to reach by phone because it would kill them to hire some actual people

It's impossible to get through the call center and no way of setting up an appointment. They say they will only call you from 3 numbers and if you follow that you will surly miss a call. One chance and then your stuck refilling out paperwork over and over again
Such a damn joke. No matter what time you call the center even if you do it at ten minute intervals they won't pick up.

Getting through to their call centre is almost impossible. You have to spend hours daily trying and it's always busy. After 2 weeks of trying still no luck. They really need to fix this. The locals need assistance as well!!

I honestly don’t get the point of opening a new building if they can’t help you in person. All they do is scan papers, tell you to wait for a response or tell you to call. I’ve seen a lot of people walk out of this place very disappointed. Elderly people needing help and they just tell them “you need to call”. I really missed their old system, where they used to tell you what documents you needed and help you right there and then. Then you call the number and can’t even talk to a real person. I wish the state would do something about this. I’m not sure if all the offices run the same. But something needs to be done!
