The AV Wellness center in the same building as The Office of The Assessor. There's a sign saying WELLNESS by the door, but it's behind the tinted glass. I spent so much time looking for it. I was 5 minutes late to my appointment. It didn't matter because the person I went to see was 59 minutes late. Yes, I waited, and the receptionist was no help. She wouldn't give me updates or would I prefer to reschedule, nothing. She wasn't even welcoming. Then when I met the person who is suppose to help me, they berated my whole life with a smile. I was about to break down. I understand I'm here, but I've had dreams, and they wouldn't acknowledge that. Even my signature wasn't safe from criticism. I got a follow up appointment, but I needed paperwork that I was suppose to receive from them. Since they didn't have it, I had to go to The Department of Rehabilitation. I didn't even get the paperwork because the 2 people at the DoR office didn't know what I was describing. After walking out their office I had a breakdown. I'm trying to get help, but every time I deal with LA County Department of Mental Health it's always a mess. I wish I was exaggerating...
