I was sent over to the AV ER due to my infant having a tracheal tug and stress with breathing. My child's pediatrician called ahead and let Dr's know wewere coming and to be ready. Upon arrival they did find that my child has a fever, nothing was asked or said about it. I let them know that we were sent over and why. It was brushed off. The triage person tried to see the tracheal tug and whe he couldn't see it, it was waved off as if I was making it up. We've now been sitting in the waiting room for hours without an update and no one who has answers. I tried explaining that my child is getting worse and again, brushed off. Hire more qualified nurses and Drs so this doesn't keep happening!

Absolutely lovely people, started in ICU and they were so kind and attentive. Moved on and for the next 4 days I would meet some of the nicest Nurses, Respiratory Therapists, Case Manager, housekeeper I've ever encountered. Angels I call them, cause I was horrified. Thank you all ICU and Fourth floor for taking great care of me and my family thanks you also. Be blessed!

My mother was in a car accident at 4pm and rushed to Antelope Valley ER. They put her in the Green Zone then 2 hours later they said they were looking for her and couldn’t find her registered . After seeing the doctor , getting labs and imaging, we are still here waiting for results. 8HOURS LATER! I just want to take my mom home so she could rest. Patient care is a joke here.

Is absurd that the ER waiting room is so small now and at the Green Zone of this hospital when it has never been like this since I have been coming here for years. Supposedly now the beds are only for patients who are going to be hospitalized. But the question is how do they know those patients are going to be hospitalized when the Doctor hasn't even checked them yet?
My Mom is an elderly 73 yrs old and have diabetes plus other things and we came here cause she was having lots of dizziness even when she is sitting down. We have been waiting for more than 3 hours for the results of the tests that they did. We arrived at 9:03 pm. (7/24/24) and left 12hrs after at exactly 9:07 (7/25/24) The Doctor didn't come to check on my Mom and was only seen by the nurses that were actually nice. Th3 doctor was only giving directions by what the nurses were writing on the computer. When you are sick the least you want to do is be sitting in a chair for hours while your buttocks hurt and are sick.
The hospital is good at charging you if you don't have insurance or charging your insurance. But is not so good at providing the service that you need. Each year this hospital is going worse Oh and the nurses at the waiting area gives privileges to the people that they now. So if you don't have a nurses that you know working there. Expect to wait a bit longer if it happens that people that they know are there at the same time as you ?

Giving one star is being too generous. I would never ever take any loved one to this hospital ER. My child came in violently puking. During triage the Dr dismissed what we were saying. He was insensitive to her mental status as well. After given nausea meds she still violently vomitted. Once blood work came back showing infection and dehydration she was given an IV (3 hrs later). She continued to vomit. After given Ativan (Dr actually believed us when I said her anxiety disorder is playing a big role in her pain, but only after her test results) she was still vomiting. ( hour 4). Go for CT scan. Still vomiting. Dr does not acknowledge her puking. If he randomly accidentally crossed paths with us he would say there is no medication to help her stop puking. I told him she is in pain. His response was well puking will do that. Did not offer anything. Hour 7 he accidentally walks by again and say well we can try another medication but it will make her slightly sedated. I asked will you be admitting her and what’s next with her care. Answer was no we won’t admit her. We will wait and see. In the meantime. Stil vomiting. So basically they gave her sedation or a med that will make her slightly sedated and not give her a room. Sent us back to the waiting room. Hour 7.5 I demanded they take IV out and I take my child home. Not one nurse or Dr checked on her during our wait times. Even though you can hear her puking. Not even a new puke bag or water or some tissues. Absolutely nothing. The big cherry on top I was informed right before leaving they have a pediatric department and would not transfer her there. I will mention that EVERY SINGLE PERSON there was receiving the same terrible care. Just awful.

went in to check my kidneys out per my physician and medical history , let me leave with high blood pressure of 173/115 did not even take into consideration what i was saying and wrote down it’s just a simple UTI after waiting 8 hours. Guess death is a better option than going here . DO NO RECOMMEND, Get out the av for care

While the staff was friendly, they seemed to be severely understaffed. My wallet was stolen a week prior to me coming, so I had nothing to show them. They still treated me kindly. They had 4 windows for registration, but only one lady working it. Once in a while, another lady would pop up in window 2 or 3.
The triage had 2 sides, however again only 1 side was being used. Not once did any of the 7 people who saw me PRIOR to taking me to the back for anything, took my temperature even though I said i was chilly (in 105° weather).
So you go to registration. Then to triage. Then you speak to another person down from registration that is billing/insurance related. Then you speak to ANOTHER basically triage person. Then you wait again, for hours. Finally was taken back, given some meds. Tossed into another brightly lit waiting area).

I was diagnosed with covid, btw. So now all those people in the waiting room are potentially at risk. I went in for a massive headache so bad that I couldn't keep my eyes open (extremely light sensitive), and the worst body aches I have ever felt in my life. And sat in 2 different waiting rooms for over 5 hours.
The hospital is massive. There's a ton of staff on. Do better. Organize your staff better. Hire more staff if need be. People shouldn't be waiting 5 hours to be seen in an ER.

Horrible, Horrible experience on the 4th floor today pushed the call button about 20 minutes ago to get nursing assistance for my husband and no one as yet to acknowledge or even attempt to show up and offer any type of assistance to help with his needs. I can accept at least and acknowledgement of some kind but a slap in the face at avoiding you is freaking ridiculous ? ?
