Follow up after emergency hospital visit over the weekend. Full review of care and blood work, full caring notes taken along with vitals, full exam by the doctor. Checked out with some meds and special food. No charge for the doc and vet tech? Really? We almost cried on the way home. Animal Wellness, we appreciate you.

Dr. Merritt was great and respectful in putting our dog down. He was really gentle and explained the procedure to our 7 year old daughter. She passed very peaceful. They even sent us a condolences card. Great staff that did their very best.

I absolutely love animal wellness! The staff are so friendly and Dr. Merritt is such a great vet! I have 4 dogs and 3 cats that I take to see them so I have been there quite a bit and can say I am very pleased with every visit. Highly recommend them to anyone searching for a really great vet!

This place has been amazing! I started out in this town at another local facility and although they weren't terrible, they couldn't properly treat my fur baby and bring her back to normal health which was stressful. Animal Wellness squeezed me in for an urgent appointment. They were sure to inform me of worse case scenario that may be required (possible surgery), but ensured that he was confident that we go the safer route to start. They brought my girl back to full health with a proper course of treatment. Even during Covid their attentiveness and care has been excellent. They are average priced in my standard and I Highly Recommend!!!!!!

The Animal Wellness Center of Mount Dora is the best animal clinic I ever visited. It is not just the beautiful, extremely clean, new building especially built for that purpose and the great location. It is Dr Merritt and his staff! The moment you enter the center, you are greeted by the friendly, smiling staff. They all know you and your fur baby. And what is amazing, your fur baby knows and loves them too! There is not such a thing as a scared puppy or kitty! They all are happy and relaxed while visiting the center. Dr. Merritt is very knowledgeable, dedicated and passionate. You can tell that he loves animals. The center is so awesome, that I do travel to Mount Dora from Orlando, so my puppy can have the best possible veterinary care.

Since moving from Colorado I had been searching for a vet whom I could trust like I did my old vet. I went to Dr. Merritt for a second opinion on my dog's lump as another vet wanted to jump in and do surgery without doing a FNA first. I'm so glad I did as Dr. Merritt is more conservative which I what I'm used to. Not only did he save us a lot of money but he gave us good news! Since then I have returned with our other dog and took Bailey in for a dental and tooth extraction. Because of Covid, I have yet to meet Dr. Merritt in person but his professionalism and demeanor on the phone is top notch. He really takes the time to explain things so I have a complete understanding of the issue. This goes for the entire staff as well! Everybody is so friendly and caring. I am so blessed and happy to have found them!
