Had my first surgery done yesterday
And what an amazing experience I had. I was very nervous. The nurses are very sweet they kept me company all the time before surgery and after they never left my side. If I needed anything they were always there. The surgery team was amazing they kept telling me jokes and helped me stay relaxed and calm. I’m so great full my first surgery was an amazing experience

Today my husband had a operation scheduled for 12:30pm with an Oncology Surgeon practicing out of Anaheim Global Medical Center, Dr. Melinda Lamb.

We waited two weeks for the hospital to contact us about a Radiology appointment my husband needed before the surgery. We were not told by the doctor if the appointment would be on the date of the surgery or before.

A few days before the surgery date, I called Dr. Lamb's office to let her know we have not heard anything from the hospital. Her nurse/receptionist says just to wait, they will call. GREAT!

At almost 5pm the evening before the sugery, we get a call from the hospital asking my husband to be there at 6:30am. I ask her why since the surgery isn't until 12:30pm? We can't arrive that early, we have an 8 year old to drop off at school & the school grounds aren't open until 7am. I don't have anyone else to drop him off. And we live more than a half hour away. The hospital representative calls the Radiology Dept to see if we can arrive at 7:30am. The Radiology Dept doesn't even open before 8am so they said, that was OK.

Due to an accident on the 5 fwy and the Google GPS taking us to the back of an Urgent Care instead of the hospital, we we arrived at 7:45am.

The intake nurse said it wasn't a problem the same situation happened to a few patients that morning. She started taking us back to Pre-Op only to be stopped and reprimanded by my husband's surgeon, Dr. Lamb, for not arriving at 6:30am. I tried to explain, she told me not to speek and just cancelled the surgery. She said, "she can not be upset like this before surgery." She was very unprofessional. JThe Radiology Dept still had plenty of time to complete their part before the surgery. Four hours and 40 minutes and they only needed 4 hours.

If the hospital had called at least 24 hours in advance this situation would not have happened. The intake nurse was so upset about it being cancelled she came out to our car to apologize.

Also, the hospital needs to update their procedures so their patients can provide their health information ahead of time electronically, like so many other medical facilities.

The staff we got to see were very nice and accommodating. The only other comment I have about the hospital is it looks really old inside.

The surgeon is a whole other issue. Very unprofessional and lacks confidence in herself as a surgeon if 15 minutes affects her ability to do a surgery. I highly recommend you avoid Dr Melinda Lamb whose office is in Costa Mesa and only practices out of this hospital.

I can’t speak highly enough for this ER! Little known gem in Anaheim. I’ve lived here 42 years and didn’t know this “community hospital“ existed. I’ve been to the “big box” ERs due to my family having a genetic disease. They DO NOT compare to this gem! You are a person here, not a number. They couldn’t have been more kind nor more helpful! Shout out to Paul, Alexis who was AMAZING! and the first RN that took care of us, tho sadly I don’t remember his name. Truly amazing people in the ER. Sadly, don’t know about the hospital as at the time of this writing, we have been here for 2 days waiting for a bed to open up in a hospital w an Opthamalogist specialist that we need in addition to our other problems. But if they’re anything like their ER dept, I’m sold! One other thing, I NEVER write reviews but these guys went over and beyond the call of duty! I will always come here first from now on!

I am visiting my family in Anaheim. I live in Texas. I lost my balance in my son's kitchen and the corner of the kitchen counter went into my left ribs. After four days my pain got worse. My son took me to the emergency room here and I was taken to get X-rays. The doctor Jason Vecchia was very understanding and the staff was friendly and professional. Thank God I didn't puncher anything but they treated me for cracked ribs. They were fast and efficient. Thank you.

Horrible staff.,spent a total about 2 minutes with me. Nurses are even worse, they make little effort to take of you (even after i assured I would be.)
They will ignore patients for hours, just chat with their coworkers.

The Nurses and Doctors are an amazingly Caring, Professional, Sweet, Fun, Group of Medical Angels. I was treated with the utmost Care,, Consideration and Joy. Thank you so much Emergency Room Staff💕

My 91 year old husband was rushed to ER. We used to go to UCI but ambulance said it was packed and not taking more patients so we had to go to the nearest, Anagheim Global.
My daughter was with my husband and she said the ER nurses and staff attended to my husbands needs in a timely manner. She was made at the ER lobby for a while.
My husband was also admitted and was well cared. My son in law noticed not tv and my daughters can only stay until 7pm
My husband was checked and eventually discharged and is doing better now. The sliding system they provided was really good and that must be something coming from my daughter who has been diabetic since 2010
We hope and pray that all who are treated here will be seen properly as we experienced and be well the soonest possible.

I give it a 1 for the reason that 12/2/24 10:52 pm I'm in the emergency and the girl that attended me has a bad attitude she look like she was mad I was talking to the guy next to her and she was taking over him he was nice but the girl get better employees
