Is there anything less than zero? I have been going to their facility in Chico for several years now. Every time I have been seen (for routine appointments to get my medication refilled or for medical reasons) I have seen a different doctor. I'm talking at least 5 times now. I never see the same person twice. The doctors just don't stay there. I have waited more than 90 minutes to be seen and heard other patients complaining to the receptionist about how long it was taking. I never complained. The last time I went I had to pay out of pocket and the receptionist told me it was $100. I paid and went to see the doctor. At the end of the appointment I asked the doctor specifically "Do I owe you anything else?" She said "Not for me but check with the receptionist when you leave." I did check with the receptionist and I was told I was good to go. A month later I started receiving bills from Ampla. They wanted another $50 or so. It took me forever (and many, many phone calls) to get this settled. It came time for my pills to be refilled, I called and made an appointment. The receptionist told me "I see that you haven't "established" yourself with a specific doctor". Well, I would love to if any of them stayed around. So, I go in for my appointment today. My husband was there with me to pay cash for the appointment. They handed us a huge pile of their yearly paperwork for me to fill out and then told me that they would collect $76 up front and then if there was any extra owed they would bill me. OH HECK NO! Not again. I tried to explain to the receptionist that we run a business and my husband was paying and not staying for the appointment so he could get back to work. I tried to explain to her that I had already dealt with this once and I didn't think it was right that they can bill you whatever they want when you walk out the door. You have no idea what you're going to be billed. She said that I could talk to her supervisor. So we did (Amalya). Amalya was the rudest person I have ever dealt with (and we are in the automotive business and deal with customers with personalities of every kind), she refused to listen to what happened to me before, shouted at me and interrupted me. I had to raise my voice to try to be heard over her and she just got louder and told me not to yell at her. I have never been so rudely interrupted and talked to by a professional before. My husband was asking her to just let me talk and explain what happened last time and she talked over him. I was so flustered and upset that I cancelled the appointment and walked out. There were several people in the waiting room and I got some smiles and nods as I passed by. I cant believe she acted that way in front of other patients, So unprofessional. I will definitely NOT be going back there and I WILL be filing a complaint with her direct supervisor and the medical board.

Need to improve many thing: This Corporate seems like it has no one in charge. Every office or every visit to my doctor I have seen/ experience really bad experiences; either by the first person that everyone see when they visit their doctors; the front desk. Moreover, if I have a problem or a complain and call to speak to someone, I either stay on hold at least 15 minutes or it took me straight to the voicemail directly to leave a message. Then, as after leaving a message, finally someone might or might not call in in a few days. Who's responsible for all this? The answer is The top of this Corporate. Shame on you and shame on the way you run this place.

What is the point of having an express care open till 7 when you are goimg to turn people away at 615! And what options are there when you need to see your doctor because you are ill and they are unable to get you in for at least 3-5 days! I called every hour to see if there were cancellations, nope. So i went to the express care at 2 locations and was turned away. I am trying to go through the correct avenues and am being forced to go sit at the ER where they will look at me as if i am wrong for seeking medical attention that should be handled through my doctor office! And i dont blame them because its true!

How can a provider of healthcare pattern themselves after the airlines practice of "over booking?" I arrived @ my 11:15 appt @ 11:07 and sat and sat until I left @ 1:45. There didn't appear to be that many patients but still no Dr
appeared. This is unacceptable especially in a 1 horse town w/3500 people. My time is valuable and you have no right run people around by over booking without the right amount of Dr's
and staff. An F is your grade and diffently needs improvement .

Well my first doc in Chico Dr. Roth got his license revoked for prescribing opiates to a patient he was sleeping wiht. My next doctor unexpectedly left with no explanation, she was nice but very hesoitant t oorder a colonoscopy despite familia history, newest doc ordered one and they found a bunch of polyps. Under her care this would have become cancer.
As for their dental practice in Chico:
Nice people for certain but the quality of the work and the policies are ridiculous. If I had a choice I'd go elsewhere.
They have had dental intern students in the office working performing cleanings and fillings. Every student filling I had in this office has fallen out. I am loosing a tooth because the student drilled on it 4 times in one visit after she kept messing up the amalgam and it kept falling out, now there's not enough tooth left since the filling fell out again.
This is the last place you want to go, only for the desperate. Don't bring kids here they have no clue how to work with children.
Let me be 100% clear, the people are very nice and I have no problem with them, it's the policies and quality of work that I have issue with.
If you are sick they make you show up anyway or count it as a no show. I did exactly that today despite coughing my guts up and exposing the whole staff and waiting room to possible STREPTOCOCCUS infection. During my exam I had ot get up and leave to vomit. The x-ray tech or RDA or whatever she was followed me out saying over and over that this counts as a no show in a whiny nagging voice reminiscent of my little sister tattling on me as a child.
All they care about is billing hours to insurance and medical.
I will reiterate the front office staff are amazing people and most of the dental staf are as well but I get the feeling this is a first employer for a LOT of new hygienists and RDAs.

Today the young man that took my temperature as I walked into the Yuba City Ampla Health Clinic , may have saved my life just by being kind.
He will be a great Dr. there in the next 2 years or so and I will be seeking him as my primary provider when he is ready .
Young man's name is Nator ,I believe ( I wish I would have wrote down his name ) That youngman and the ladies behind the counter are the unnoticed heros of this establishment.

I don't understand the low rating for Ampla Health. I've been going to Dr. Amoli Hussain at Gridley Ampla for over 12 years now. He is amazing.. Dr. amoli has ALWAYS diagnosed my problems. He is an asset to your corporation. I hope you pass this on to him

Horrible administration. Horrible doctors. Horrible staff. This poor town needs better medical care professionals willing to bill medi-cal/managed care insurance plans. Never been treated so poorly in the medical community than I have been here. You might literally be better off driving to Corning or elsewhere just to not be treated so badly, get someone to listen, and actually care. What a shameful bunch.
