hospital bed, potty chair and a brand new state of the art lift chair was delivered promptly at time scheduled and setup where we wanted them. Austin explained how each worked and showed us how to operate all the whistle and bells. Thank You Austin for your kindness and patience with us.
Should the need arise, we highly recommend AMERICAN MEDICAL and its wonderful staff. You will not be disappointed!

The customer service exhibited by the owner of this establishment was by far the worst experience I have had when dealing with any DME supplier. The receptionist was friendly but her hands were tied on the amount of things she had knowledge to do. The owner, which goes by the name “Vince” was quite frankly rude and was upset because I had previous knowledge of insurance coverage of DME supplies. When he was proven wrong by the BCBS rep, that I so kindly got in touch with for him to speak with. He stormed off and told me that he would have to obtain a prior authorization even though the insurance rep told me that a prior authorization was not required on items under $500. He originally quoted a price of approx $250, but now that I was obviously equipped with more knowledge than he was accustomed to he changed the price to over $500 for the insurance so a PA would be required. This form of predatory business is inexcusable and I would not want my dog, family or friends to go here. Shame on you American Medical Rentals!

When we purchased a hospital bed and, soon after a scooter, for my husband with Parkinson’s, we were very pleased with their prompt attention to getting his bed , not so much with a 4 month delay in getting his scooter (supposedly a Medicare hangup) but I have been extremely dissatisfied with this company in trying to get service on my husbAnd’s scooter less than 1 year old! We have been waiting 5 weeks and not one explanation other than they are backed up. At first I was told it might be 2 weeks. Now, after 5 weeks, the receptionist tells me they mKe 7 service calls a day. I wish I’d read these reviews before doing business with this company . I see others have been in this same position!

UPDATE: The next business day after I posted my review, we got a call from this company saying they would pick up my husbands scooter and leave a loaner until his scooter could be repaired. I am grateful for this prompt response to my comment!

We were visiting Arkansas, when my Mother's new portable oxygen concentrator started to malfunction. She ended up in the hospital because we were unaware of the problem. We contacted the company that provides all her supplies, and ask them to send, or contact a company in Arkansas where we could exchange the unit, so she could fly home. We were told this was not considered an emergency, and there was nothing they could do to help. I started to call Medical supply company's in the area. The people at American Medical Rentals understood our situation, and provided my Mother with a new consintrator and all the supplies she needed to return home. We are so grateful for all your help.

I am very dissatisfied with this company. Upfront they seems to care and want the best when in fact it was they were more eager to get my money rather than customer service. I recently had knee surgery and was advised to purchase a compression device to help w blood clotting. For the last few days mine hasn't been working properly. I am supposed to wear this device 22 hrs ago. I called and spoke to 2 people and when Steven called me back all he said call Customer Tech and they can help you. Well for 2 hrs I kept getting the run around with the Tech because he said it was AMR should be able to assist. So now after letting him know they wouldn’t l, I now have to wait almost a week to get a new device I’d in fact they approve it then. So, taking a chance there’s no blood clots w a machine that doesn’t work properly. If you need medical supplies do your homework first before purchasing from them. It seems to be about money than the well being of patients

Worst experience. The day they were supposed to deliver my bed, they did not. They told the driver to call me but I could not not get to the phone in time. I called the store and salesman Steven said he couldn't find my paperwork right now. I tried to call the delivery guy back, but his phone was off. I called the store back several times never finding out what was going on. At 4:00 the delivery guy called and said it never got put on truck, and we arranged for him to bring it at 1:00 the next day. At 9:00 the next morning a delivery guy calls and says he will be here in 10 minutes. He gets here and guess what y'all? He just got his first Covid vaccine last night. I am vaccinated because I am at a high risk, but still do not like unvaccinated people in my home, especially with the new strains. Also, it was only the third bed he had assembled. After he left three different parts actually fell off! The bed leans to the side, very uneven, and the head doesn't fully go down. The mattress is so hard it hurts my bones. I'm still waiting for Steven the salesperson to call me back. Please do not do business here.

Just received a bill from them, which my doctors office already had them in their Facility. So I get the bill three weeks later for 720.00 okay so there is no way I can come up with that money off top so I call to make payment planes ,mind you there is no phone number on the bill anywhere so I had to look it up no problem then I call.and they are closed for black ⚫ Friday. So I went to the website and it was a bust. I hope my experience with them will not be this way all through the process.

I purchased a power wheelchair from them. I gave always called when something goes wrong with my chair. Well I am stuck at Childrens Hospital. My chair stopped working. I have called several time waiting now going on 2hrs for someone to call and help me. A very rude man said someone being trying to call me and that's a lie. I have several ppl here at Children's trying to help and they can can my phone had not rung. I really like American Medical but today us unacceptably. So disappointed in them. I'm still waiting on a phone call....
