Went in for dizziness. Seen an hr past appointment time to be told after having fever nothing was wrong. Swabs taken to be sent to lab. Lab confirmed 3 days later all negative. There was no possible way..

Earlier in the day prior to receiving my lab results from AFC, I'd seen my personal doctor. After swab test instantly confirmed FLU and Pneumonia. So of course, shot etc...

I think AFC needs to do better. You don't send someone home with cough syrup that comes in with dizziness .
Plus the co-pay

Everyone was friendly. Stephanie ( the nurse) has a fun personality and kept us laughing.
Carla did an awesome job with our 3 yr.old ( he had to get three swabs) Dr.Gordon was so nice and shared valuable knowledge with us.

I ended up going for 3 visits in over a months time. The last time they still gave me a small dose of the same medicine that didn’t cure my poison ivy rash. I asked for a referral to an dermatologist and was told I would need to come back for a 4th time just to get a referral after having poison oak for over a month. I will not be back.

Office manager Amy W is not very nice or professional. I was there yesterday diagnosed with bronchitis and Dr prescribed me medrol steroid pack which made me much better. My husband the very next day comes down with the exact same thing and they refuse to give him the steroid pack. We asked if the Dr will call him and Amy says no she will not call him the patient. It's not like he's asking for a narcotic. I work from home but he has a physical job and needs to get better quick. They also refuse to give his Co pay back and he's on the way now to pcp to get a steroid pack and pay another co pay. So this place was a total waste of time and money for him . Ridiculous that you as the patient have no say in your care.

Edit to add- we both tested negative for the flu at this place. My husband went to his primary care doctor and he tested positive. AFC does a 15-minute test that is not accurate. The primary care doctor did the 30-minute test which is more accurate. He is getting tamiflu and they said he will be much better soon. I didn't get that so I wasn't even treated properly at AFC. I guess I'm going to have to go to his primary care doctor and pay another copay as well. Apparently AFC doesn't use the PCR test, you might as well save your money and get an OTC test from Walgreens. Edit to add after paying another $50 co pay at Stop Watch Hartselle who I highly recommend I am positive for the flu as well. They are calling me in xofluza that AFC refused to call in for me. We will never go to AFC again. We wasted $80 in copays there plus meds that don't even help the flu.

I had stopped coming to this place a couple of years ago because the wait times were always so bad. When my son was sick today, and the place I had switched to didn't have any appointments available, I looked this one back up and was pleased to see that they now had a "hold my spot" option online. Great, I thought... I did a hold my spot online, and headed up there shortly before our time (we arrived 5 minutes before our time slot, because I had done the paperwork online too). It is now 2.5 hours after "our" time, and we still have not been seen. I asked the lady at the front desk about it, and she indicated that doing the "save my spot" online just means that, once you check in there physically, other people who come in after you won't be seen before you. WHAT?!? That is no different than just walking in - she agreed with me. It's crazy to have that option online, but ignore it. I've used that option before at other places, and they use it appropriately. As I am writing this, we were finally called back, after 2 hours and 35 minutes. If you have to come here, don't waste your time on the "hold my spot". Just try to get there so you're first at opening time - that may be your only hope.

Dr Gafford (Stephanie) was completely rude, disrespectful, insensitive and not thorough in her methods of assessment. No beside manner. Showed no concern for my condition, acting annoyed that I was even there.

The desk staff and the medical assistant were polite and caring. Too bad the physician had to ruin the experience.

I would not recommend this place to anyone since this is not what health "CARE" is supposed to be like. I used to work in the medical field and I'm well versed on how REAL care looks and feels like.

Was having some issues with my ears being stopped up and the staff at AFC took great care of me. Stephanie was awesome. She was very careful and took her time with the procedure she had to perform which told me she genuinely cares about her patients comfort and well being.

The quality of care has grown increasingly inconsistent over the last few years. There are a handful of providers that rotate through lately who have the worst bedside manner I've ever experienced anywhere in my life. I know they have very difficult jobs and I do empathize with that, but things like telling their whole life stories and prescribing things based only on personal anecdotes and not on the merit of actually listening is not why I have been coming here for for the last ten years. I come to get help when I'm sick and can't get in with my regular doctor. Lately I leave with no help at all, and the eccentricities of their weird doctors ringing in my head. I really have no desire to come back anymore.
