Alter is such an amazing health care provider to ensure that progress is made in understanding mental health. The staff is incredible and the amenities are beautiful! The view at programming and the atmosphere of the location brings people from all over the US and the variety of people and personalities is refreshing. Going to treatment takes confidence and responsibility and alter is with you every step of the way, even when you leave the program you’ll forever be changed. Thanks Alter !!

The team at Alter were super helpful and caring to our situation. They worked with us to ensure all our concerns were addressed and provided quick attention and resolution to any concerns. They were attentive to all concerns, whether it be clerical (regarding insurance), or when seeking clarity on daily structure and scheduling, the team masterfully navigates and serves the needs of all participants while remaining private, respectful and compliant. The Alter team was a greatly appreciated help to my family and I am forever grateful!

My partner spent months at Alter, trusted the facilitators, case managers, and therapists. They failed her in the end. She is doing a lot better now, but they left her with nowhere to go, after they moved all of their group leaders to the residential program. The company showed its true colors, focusing only on making money, not on their clients. I would not recommend going there, to any of their programs.

The people here at LBO are fantastic. They are always on top of whatever is happening very easy to work with. I really appreciate all their help and I would come back to talk to them anytime.

My experience was very positive at Alter! I felt that I was able to grow enormously during my time here. Raquel was a great therapist, Brooke was really helpful as a case manager, and Rebecca and Gloria were great nurses. I will always be appreciative of the help I received at Alter!!

Do not go to this facility. If you are currently, as of March 2025, looking for a mental health facility to gain your life back and grow as a person, do NOT choose Alter. They may have nice comments, they may show you pretty accommodations, but they are a terrible company. There are CLOSING their PHP program. But they aren’t telling new clients. It’s a factory type of mindset. Please choose another facility if you want help.

It is a fairly small program, which is highly conducive to being able to connect well with other clients experiencing similar struggles to yourself and allows to get to know the staff well. Having a connection with the staff does make discharge planning a little harder in the sense that you are parting ways with someone who was good for you in a season of life, but before that it makes treatment a lot better.
