While my wait time and overall visit went smoothly. I don’t appreciate being hustled and that is exactly how I felt when visiting this practice. I called and made appointment asking for surgical clearance and if they accepted my insurance. They said yes and all I needed was simple EKG and blood work with a prescription from my doctor (this was all discussed on the phone). When I arrived to my appointment I was made aware that I would have to pay $90 out of pocket for a chest x-ray that I did not need, chest x-rays are not required for surgical clearance. The fact this was not mentioned to me on the phone while making the appointment just goes to show this is a deliberate attempt to get people. I already was there and did not want to have to leave and make an appointment elsewhere to delay my surgery so I gave in and paid an out of pocket fee that should have been made known over the phone. Besides the point because that was my decision and it all worked out, I decided I would never return to this practice. Now 4 months later I receive a statement in the mail that there is an outstanding balance. When I call the practice they stated that this is a copay from my previous visit. In what world do they charge you a copay let alone after an appointment but MONTHS AFTER. This is ridiculous and I don’t wish this on anyone. DO BETTER.

I’d like to commend the team at Alhambra Family Practice for being so caring, helpful and all-around great. I received wonderful care from Nurse Practitioner Arasai (thanks to whom my aneurysm was discovered!), as well as Daniela, Claudia and Kelly, very kind and knowledgeable health professionals. At the Front Desk, Kevin is always warm and welcoming and Elvis is incredibly efficient and responsive. Elvis has invariably bent over backwards to help me get needed referrals etc from my insurance company. Last but not least, Gustavo gladly resolved a thorny problem I was having with the portal — even though it was the end of the work day. Keep doing what you are doing — you are all fantastic. 🙂

I have been a patient of Alhambra Family Practice for over 13+ years and while I was under the care of Dr. Mones and his staff, it was very saddening to hear of his retirement at the beginning of this year. Regardless, I continue to experience very stellar and personable care from The current Dr., his PA staff and Head Nurse Arsay. I couldn't be happier and look forward to many more years of care through them!

I wouldn’t recommend this practice to anyone. I have been there twice and the experience wasn’t the best. There are also long wait times and I have witnessed elders being treated without respect. They store your credit card info for future charges you might owe which is totally fine, except that you have to keep an eye on it. Six months after my visit i was charged $150 that I do not owe and is taking me over a week to recover it.
Upon finally receiving a call back from this business, my situation was partially resolved as my insurance cannot locate the payment due to any claim. Nevertheless, I was bounced around MULTIPLE times, with inconsistent answers and poor customer service.

Been coming here for quite sometime. Always received the attention needed. I’ve always had bloodwork done here and the only gripe i’ve had is being pricked more than once.
One visit a couple years back was a nightmare as they pricked me several times including my hand. They were unsuccessful and had to send me to a clinic.
This time there is “One time Rocio” who walks in with confidence and says “I heard your story, do not worry. I’ll do it once.”
I was skeptical but she did it one time! Thank you Rocio! Despite some inconveniences I have experienced its a good office.

Been coming here for years. Great place. Daniela is great at blood work and Rebeka is an awesome PA. great team. Sad to find out Dr Mones retire though
