Came here for a profusely bleeding hand injury as this was closest hospital. Triage nurse was really nice. Waited in the ER waiting room for another 2 hours before being seen by the Physician Assistant on duty. The nurse with her seemed relatively new and was being trained. I realize financial constraints may have impacted staffing resulting in the long wait time. Overall, staff are friendly, but I would hesitate to come here for anything more complex or serious.

Horrible ER department nobody seems to know what they are doing doctors or nurses. I was in the ER accompanying my mom. While waiting for test results I was walking in the hall outside her room by the nurses station and heard so many alarming things such as how a new nurse that hasn’t even been at this hospital 3weeks was to be assigned and train new nurse on their first day today. This does not seem safe at all. No wonder nobody knows what they are doing. I also heard some of the nurses talk about how horrible the new manager is, and how can she allow for new nurses to train other new people. Should any of that be conversation in the work place around patients? The some of the staff seem nice. The facility itself feels terribly dirty and unsafe. I noticed bodily fluids on the wall and the floor that certainly didn’t come from my mom so it had to be the previous person treated in that room. My mom had to go outside for a CT scan to a trailer in the cold weather and we had to wait a very long time just to get the results. I would not recommend coming to this emergency room at all go to a place with better resources if you want proper diagnosis and treatment.

Malpractice lawsuit coming shortly. I went in with high blood pressure, and they literally drugged me and did procedures without my consent. They attempted to turn off the lights and put me to sleep in order to rack up the bill, but luckily the drugs wore off and I was able to successfully leave. I just received a 5k plus bill, and I was told I would not be charged because "they have homeless people there". I'm unemployed and disabled. This place should be avoided 100%

The worse emergency room. Dr. Crane is rude and racist. She stereotyped my family when she walked in, belittled my son, and made us feel like we were wasting her time. I get bedside manor is not usually doctors traits, but congratulating someone for having diabetes is disrespectful and distasteful. I will be writing a letter to the medical board and the head of Seton.

This review is in direct response to my experiences with Dr. Freshta Sahak and Licensed Clinical Social Worker Marlene Strick.

ER experiences tend to be rushed, chaotic, emergent by name and nature. This is not a bad thing; this is a "the way it is" thing.

My mother was rushed to Seton's ER. I arrived shortly thereafter and was met with the usual confusion as I was being caught up to speed in the midst of doctors, nurses, and others doing what must be done.

Once the situation was relatively stable, Dr. Freshta Sahak spoke with me in the hallway.

At that point, everything slowed down as Dr. Sahak gently, compassionately, thoughtfully, and directly told me what was happening with my mother. It was not an easy conversation, but Dr. Sahak went above and beyond.

In a place of emergency, and in the midst of everything and everyone else an ER doc has on their hands, Dr. Sahak treated me like a singular human with a singular situation having to do with a singular mother and did so at my pace, ensuring I was informed, heard, and okay. It was precisely what I needed, even without realizing it until afterward. I am so thankful for Dr. Sahak's approach, professionalism, and compassion.

After two days in the hospital, my mother was released. Shortly before her release, a social worker spoke with my mother and then one-on-one with me. It was Licensed Clinical Social Worker Marlene Strick.

I was again treated with patience and compassion as Marlene Strick listened to and heard me, and again, it was precisely what I needed, even without realizing it until afterward.

Marlene, on Thanksgiving Day, went above and beyond, giving me 1.5 hours of their time to ensure I was okay. It was clear that was her only objective, and I am so thankful for her time and advice and resources suggested and for her compassion and intuitive care during such a complicated and emotional time.

I feel immensely fortunate Dr. Sahak was there for the beginning of my experience at Seton, and at that Marlene Strick there at the end. They are both of infinite value. Thank you.

Horrible depressing place. Broken everything right outside the surgery waiting room. No TV in the hospital rooms (there for 3 days) because they posed a “safety risk”. Nothing about this place was conducive to a healthy recovery. I’m giving Seton 1 star because surprisingly, my sister didn’t get a Staph infection when she was there. 👍

Among all the unprofessional staff I encountered, Nurse Raeanne and Doctor Freshta Sahak were the worst. I went into the ER and was initially misdiagnosed because they were busy attending to other patients with supposedly more “serious” concerns. However, not even three or four hours later, I returned in sepsis. It was later determined that I had a kidney infection and kidney stones.

During my 14–16 hour wait to be transferred to another hospital, Doctor Sahak placed me in a room that had not been cleaned. The room smelled of bodily fluids, and it was absolutely disgusting. I repeatedly asked Nurse Raeanne to move me to a different room, but she ignored me entirely and even lashed out at me. When I was finally moved, they failed to check on me for hours despite the fact that, again, I was in SEPSIS. Even when I pressed the assistance button, no one came. My mother had to search for a doctor to request pain medication, and they still took an unreasonably long time to help me.

Once a room became available for surgery at another hospital, the staff called the wrong ambulance, delaying the transfer further. When the ambulance finally arrived, Doctor Sahak told the EMTs, “Thank God you didn’t leave them alone; they keep crying.” Considering how much pain I was in and how scary that was for me, I was very offended.

To make matters worse, they administered a vitamin through my IV, causing me excruciating pain with tears running down my face. I later learned at the other hospital that this medication could have been taken in pill form. Their lack of professionalism and empathy was gross. It was clear they did not care about my well-being and were entirely unaccommodating.

This experience was extremely traumatic. It’s obvious that all they care about is their paychecks. They should have been shut down years ago. I will now take the extra time to drive to a different hospital instead of ever stepping foot here again.

Where do I start. Seton medical center is the worst . I walk in trying to get Directions In the morning, and I walk up to an African-American guard Standing in the front talking on her cell phone ..
and she gave me a complete dirty look with attitude when I tried to ask her how do I get to the 6 floor … There’s a time and place to use your phone, but Whoever the lady was arguing with upset at her and she took it out on me. WE NEED TO DO BETTER SETON!!
