Money hungry, goes out of their way to try and charge you extra.
Went in for a preventative. Came out with a 100+ bill we can't afford.
And we stated we can't several times before hand and they falsely reassured us. they also like to make ghost appointments and don't tell you about them until last second hoping you don't come or notice. Stay clear. At least the lady's at the desk aren't rude or condescending when doing this.(Edit: my dental has a better work ethic than this place and they do teeth extraction)

What you can expect here:

I suffer from chronic pain and mobility issues. This practice ignored it for years, now I am virtually unable to even walk. They did nothing but regular blood work, token referrals to pain management were absolutely not worth my time.

These are lost years now, I would like them back.

If you only need periodic blood work, this practice may be the one for you, but in my experience, they did nothing beyond basic care. I said I need help to get feeling better and exercising again. I was told, "I am a primary care doctor, I don't do that."

I do not recommend this practice, my experience here left a great deal to be desired. I was referred by another practice to a better primary care practice.

Not angry, but this is a real description of my experience.

Updating this review, sadly nothing good to report. I signed a request to transfer my records to a new (and hopefully better) primary care practice on or about June 1st. 2 months later I got a call from them to schedule an appointment because they could not refill my prescription. I don't like leaving bad reviews, but this really has been the worst experience ever. I had to call this practice more than once because they insisted that I had to call the medical records transfer place. That number repeatedly hung up on me, so I had to call this practice AGAIN and insist that they transfer my records and I had to tell them to do it and not to charge me since they dropped the ball and failed me once again.

I really don't like leaving bad reviews, but I have to leave one here to let the world know what to expect. I am also lodging a formal complaint with my Health Insurance to make sure this is documented for others in the future.

Abandon all hope ye who enter here. They will not help you or give you the treatment you need.

Was going there for years and the docs, physicians assistants and nurse practitioners have all been great, but ever since they got taken over it’s gotten bad. They changed the online appointment system which has been a huge pain to navigate in my experience to even make an appointment . The phone never gets answered and they raised their price by $40. Not worth it anymore. They used to be great though,it’s too bad. time to find another office.

I have been going to this office for the last 4 years. When I started seeing Dr Schatzki I found the clinic to be very thorough caring respectful prompt and had no problems getting my prescriptions refilled. Over the last year things have changed to the extreme. The front counter staff is rude. It takes a long time to get an appointment up to 3 weeks at times. I have tried for weeks to get my prescriptions refilled. Sometimes you can't get anybody on the phone when you call. If you have an issue that needs prompt attention like a UTI or ear infection are referred to urgent care because they cannot get you in. My insurance carrier only allows me 2 Urgent Care visits a year and those things are what your primary care doctor is for. I am very disappointed in the level that this Clinic has degraded over the last year. The doctors are great the nurse practitioners are great but it doesn't do you any good if you can't get in to see them or have to spend weeks at a time trying to get them to refill your prescriptions. I'm moving on.

This is one of the dr office my family has been to. I would not recommend them. They lie about sending in very important medicines to pharmacies. Then when you call you're on hold for almost an hour. You get the run around for weeks. I'd give it zero stars if it let me.

Best doctor out there!! We have been with Dr. Macko for 11 years. Our whole family is seen by him, so we have had a lot of interaction with Dr. Macko and his office staff. Never had a problem and only positive things to say. He has a great bedside manner and is thorough, caring & very professional. You'd be hard pressed to find a better family practitioner.

I have been going to Agave for over 11 years. It's a great place, they really care about you. It's also a busy place so make your appointments in advance if you can. They do try their best to see you in emergencies as well. They always get my son in same day when he is really sick. I appreciate that. I like that they have a lab onsite to do blood work right there too.

Agave Family Physicians are truly staffed and owned by criminals. After weeks of trauma, my mom is finally out of the hospital. She is being seen by her surgeon and her surgeon suggests that she go to her family physician to deal with terrible swelling in her feet. They refuse to make an appointment earlier than one week away due to a "lack of availability." But, but...she's sick! Don't you have a provision in your scheduling to get sick patients in? "No." In a doctor's office, they have no ability to see sick patients earlier than one week.

So I call Dr. Stoeckmann's assistant. She calls back and says "The doctor says she needs to be seen in the emergency room because it sounds serious." Emergency? But her surgeon said it wasn't. And her assistant says "Well, we have no availability." So you panic my mother and tell her it's an emergency because you have no availability? Is that ethical? Her response - "I did not. I'm only repeating what the doctor says." Oh. Okay.

I ask for a copy of her records so we can take her somewhere immediately and receive informed care, and she agreed to have the records ready. When I arrived at the office, they told me that, even though they were refusing to give her adaquate care, in order to actually GET adequate care, she must pay $25. ("We're not refusing to give her care." Oh? Then I'll bring her right over. "We have no appointments for a week." Um, I'm pretty sure that means you're refusing to give her care.)

After we pay the $25 she tells me they have 24 hours to produce the papers. Finally, I LOSE MY MIND.

And immediately (and I mean immediately) she produces the already-copied paperwork.
Dear lord, after all she has been through, their last action toward my mom is to screw with her? They would refuse to give her service and then, when we attempt to get adequate, informed care elsewhere, they would block that attempt?

Never, ever, ever will I step back into that office unless it changed hands and staff and doctors that care about service, care about their patients' health, and have a beating heart, step into it first. Shame on every single person at Agave Family Physicians.
