I went here briefly from 2011 - 2012 & it saved me then. I unfortunately relapsed multiple times & went in & out of inpatient rehabs for years. In 2018 I decided to give Aegis another go. I am now coming up on SIX YEARS CLEAN in October thanks to this program helping to o keep my arse in line.

I’ve been going to the clinic since 2021. In that time the amount and quality of nurses that dose has declined dramatically. You’ll almost never find 2 technicians at the same time so if a group of people arrive and person at the front of the line have take homes all the other people who have rides waiting on them (often times at their own expensive be it sexual/monetary just to get to the clinic and stay clean) on top of that their hours have shortened and just keep on shortening. I’ve not been able to dose because I’m in the lobby and they tell me it’s going to take an HOUR because they just push the first person through in line when that’s the dumbest strategy. If you have 4 people waiting and the nurse is going to go on break, why would the front office workers have the person with take homes go in so the other 3 people wait on that for 15 minutes then another 30 minutes for break and finally when they get back in there they take 15 minutes to start dosing again. I appreciate the way it’s change my life but it’s horrible establishment in terms of prioritizing customer care. Too many people are on too narrow time frames to have these ladies just say oh well nothing we can do you just have to wait when you literally can’t wait because of work and the likes. MAKE SMART CHOICES WHEN SENDING CLIENTS BACK TO GET DOSED. STOP MAKING PEOPLE WAIT WHEN THEY DONT HAVE TAKE HOMES. THE ONLY TIME TAKE HOMES SHOULD TO SIMULTANEOUSLY IS IF THERES 2 OPEN WINDOWS AND THERE NEVER IS. FIRST COME FIRST SERVE IS A STUPID POLICY THAT INVITES RELAPSE IN WHEN PEOPLE CANT DOSE AND THE OFFICE WORKERS COULD CARE LESS AND THEY MAKE IT APPARENT THEY CARE LESS. THIS ISN’T HOSPITALITY.

This place sucks for myriad reasons. The primary one being that it is a business first and a ā€œhealthcareā€ facility second. They will up your dose every week if you so much as say ā€œyeah, this thing triggered meā€, but they don’t tell you how much more difficult it is to get off of methadone than it is to get off any street drug. The ā€œmedicationā€ literally sinks inside your bones and causes all kinds of orthopedic problems, while making itself ten times harder to get off of. The withdrawal is way more intense than, say, fentanyl, and yet they will do everything in their power to prevent you from dosing. ā€œOh? You’re literally 10 seconds late even though there’s a line out the door? We can’t dose you. You’re upset because you’re in withdrawal? Well that looks like public intoxication and we can’t dose you. We have the means to test for that kind of stuff, but we won’t. Did your partner beat you before you got here? Can’t dose you, you’re probably high cuz your eyes are red. Was there a failure of communication between the doctor at your regular clinic and the doctor at this clinic where you’re courtesy dosing? Sorry you drove three hours, but we dgaf so we’re not gonna dose you.ā€ These are all real scenarios that I’ve witnessed or have frequently been a part of.

Seriously, I hate this place. I would quit today if I wasn’t chained to it. DO NOT GO TO THIS CLINIC. The staff sucks, there’s only one person in the whole place that cares about patient *wellness* and she does not have a say in who gets access to treatment. Everyone at the front desk is trained to treat this place like a business first. And the managers don’t even care about what’s happening. They openly make fun of people while goofing off. But screw everyone that needs their dose to maintain normalcy on life, right?

0/5 stars.
