Your staff at Sierra Vista Hospital is next to none. I’ve been injured a lot and have to deal with a lot of medical facilities. In this. By far is the best. The only is the staff the best that I’ve ever experienced. The hospital itself is the best. They’re super nice. they attended everything you need. Their attitude is nothing but happy and cheerful. This is definitely the best care facility you could possibly go to on a Central Coast hands-down. There’s no contest and trust me. I am so picky about this kind of stuff.

My mom had surgery and is currently staying here while she recovers. The place is unsanitary, and the treatment practices are questionable. I think just a simple washing your hands would be nice before doing any procedure on a patient. Nurses(some) seemed annoyed when my mom needed something and when she had questions. It pains me knowing my mom has to be there.

I would give no stars if I could. It's not easy for me to accept the fact that I need to go to the ER, so when I came in to Sierra Vista, not only did they not help me, they literally painfully push the infection I have from an abscess back into my body making it worse. They also had told me that I had a serious illness that I in fact did not have or it said anywhere on my paperwork.... Would not recommend to my greatest enemy.. these people torture people. Where do they get their nurses certificate Will never ever return here.

Originally I had heard bad things about Sierra Vista Hospital in San Luis Obispo county. Which is why I originally went to French hospital in San Luis Obispo, when I became immobile, which was later diagnosed as a lateral tear. I was honest with them with all the questions they asked, including past drug history and using intravenous drugs which hadn't been a problem nor an issue with me for a few years prior to my visit . First visit I was sent home with back pain and 8 Norcos, which I definitely knew was not the case because of the severe pain and continual growth of pain . So we went back two days later cuz I still couldn't move and told them it was more serious than that as I tried to tell him the first time. They gave me an MRI of my spine, and ship me over to Sierra Vista where a specialist supposedly was for infection.
After multiple MRIs and a CAT scan which was all severely painful. They then attempted a risky biopsy on my lower spine unsuccessfully, which again was severely painful stabbing only into a nerve over and over and sending shock waves of pain through my body. Long story short turns out to be a labral tear in my hip, yet they still wanted to do another MRI on my other side of my hip and another biopsy in the same spot into a nerve at the lower spine, for really no reason I can possibly think of, except only to milk Insurance because after taking blood from me over a dozen times they found that there was no infection from almost the beginning of the process on the first day yet still wanted to proceed with risky surgeries that were extremely painful and could only harm me. Note, from the beginning, since I got to Sierra Vista every nurse and Doctor automatically judged me and didn't give me any good care whatsoever never change my bedding my sheets my gown help to clean me help to take me to the bathroom not once in 4 days. All because drug history in my past, they automatically wanted to blame it on an infection caused by intravenous drug use only and shamed me ever since. Giving me not even close to a quarter of the Care the guy in the room next to me was receiving. They didn't want to believe a word I said and every time I ask for pain medication which was extremely necessary because I could not even move without severe sharp pains shooting through my body, they were just looking at me in disappointment. I brought it up to them and they all ganged up on me, so I told him I wanted to try and leave as soon as possible and they immediately cut my pain meds. So I got dressed and limped out of there in severe pain. That's how bad it was, cuz I could barely walk. And now I'm about to try and call to get some prescriptions, and I can only imagine how that's going to go. Since of course now I'm the bad guy. Absolutely wrong, judgemental, unhelpful, non wanting to help, I can go on, including the last day which I was waiting for physical therapy the entire day which never came. The food was horrible, at least mine was including they missed me 2 dinners one breakfast and one lunch while I was there, I can't imagine how cuz I never left my bed. Not to mention from French hospital to Sierra the first 3 days not a drop of water or food because of MRIs my stomach was eating itself Karma I was in pain from that alone.

Went tho this hospital specifically because the one in santa maria doesn't help, but I was turned away here too. Despite developing alarming neurological symptoms right after a general anesthesia surgery, they said it not an emergency, sent me next todoor to primary who said yes it is and sent me back. But they still said no. For all I know I could be having/had a stroke, brain damage, etc. But I'm not a doctor. All I know is I was fine, then I had oral surgery, now I can barely walk or talk and can't control my bladder. But it's not an emergency, the hospital said so!

Having heard employee testimony, I realize that Adventist health does not represent their “Christian Morals”. They put nurses in situations they are not prepared for that endanger the nurses and therefore the patients. They will slander and allow their nurses no protections. This organization is NOT the kind of place you want to work for and their management teams are the OPPOSITE of any organization I would want to be a part of. I am not a nurse myself but from testimony of others I would never chose an Adventist organization. Definitely not a supportive environment.

I went to the ERvwith stringy stool, blood with and with out stool, feeling like I’m never finished using the restroom and received a blood test that gave zero information on what’s wrong. Disregarded it as a Hemroid. This hospital worthless.

I have heard many bad things about this organization and upon hearing personal testimonies, im shocked and appalled to hear about all of these things. not just the clear and obvious negative reviews that are shown in this review section, but personal experiences as well. Adventist health is a shameful organization and will never consider this place for my family or anyone i know.
