One patient shared their exceptional experience at AdventHealth Tampa, stating, 'I was scheduled at Advent for a surgical procedure. I've had many but never at an Advent facility. I knew I had to write a review because I have never experienced such amazing people. From the staff, the nurses, the doctor, the anesthesiologist, the post-op nurse I must say that for having a procedure done, this had to be one of my absolute best experiences. I have nothing but the utmost regards for every single person who I came in contact with that day. Kudos to all of you. Amazing job, amazing staff BLESS ALL OF YOU'. This sentiment reflects the overall positive experiences shared by patients and their loved ones.

I visited the ER in the evening, and at first, it seemed like the process would be quick. Within the first 20 minutes, my blood pressure and temperature were taken, and about 30 minutes later, I was brought into a room to speak with a nurse. Up until that point, everything was running smoothly—the nurses were attentive, and the technician was fantastic.

However, my experience took a turn for the worse when the ER doctor arrived. He repeatedly cut me off as I tried to explain my symptoms and showed little interest in actually listening to my concerns. His lack of bedside manner made an already stressful situation even more frustrating. After my ultrasound, I was placed back in the waiting room, where I sat for over six hours before finally receiving an update. When the doctor finally returned, he simply told me he had no clue what was wrong and left the decision up to me on whether to stay in the hospital.

I understand that ER doctors may not always have immediate answers, but a professional approach would have been to consult a colleague rather than dismiss my concerns so casually. I didn’t come to the ER to diagnose myself. Waiting six hours for a vague response was disappointing and disheartening.

The only saving grace of this visit was the kindness and professionalism of the nurses and technician. Unfortunately, the poor experience with the ER doctor overshadowed their great care. 3/5 stars – all thanks to the nursing staff.

I gave birth on 03/07/25 and all the staff were amazing! Super helpful and willing to answer any questions. Two staff I wanna mention by name are Valentina and Kerri. Valentina helped coach me through labor and Kerri was the BEST teacher and encouraged me with breastfeeding. All around a great experience. The staff actually care and listen to their patients

Dr Canella and his entire staff do amazing work. As a patient you’re treated with respect and compassion. The team’s knowledge and skill is evident, and their use of advanced technology and materials can help accelerate the healing process. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

We had an excellent experience during my sons hospital stay. The doctors were knowledgeable and attentive, ensuring we understood every step of my sons care. The nurses were compassionate, professional, and always went above and beyond to make him feel comfortable. I’m truly grateful for their dedication and support throughout my sons recovery. I wish we could’ve received an estimate cost at the time, but I guess that’s the process. The unknown of costs is the only concern at this point.

I went to the EMERGENCY with severe symptoms of NAUSEA, VOMITING and LOSS OF BALANCE. I spent 3 days there, and I was never seen by a GASTROENTEROLOGIST or ENT. I left there in a wheelchair. 3 days later I still can't walk because of the loss of balance. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT 😞😡

I’ve had two babies here at advent health. My only complaint is that anyone who knows you are here can get your room number and anyone can walk into your room at ANY TIME. that’s actually insane. We had someone walk into our room at 7 am that we did not know was coming. We were asleep… I gave birth at 11:30 pm and waited hours for a room to be available in the postpartum unit. We weren’t moved there until 4 am and weren’t left alone until 5 am at which point we tried to get some rest. I asked the nurse if they could not give people our room number or at the very least, not let them up without informing us first. She was not helpful at all and insisted that’s just hospital policy and there’s nothing they could do about it. At one of the most vulnerable times in my life, I would’ve appreciated some privacy. No one informed me this was even a possibility. I felt (and still feel) completely violated. And I conveyed all this to the nurse and her solution was to tell anyone who knows what hospital we’re at not to come without confirming with us first. Which I WOULD HAVE DONE beforehand if I knew my room number would be given out to anyone who asks!

If I could give no stars I would. It’s the worst thing in the world is when you are in the emergency room with a disabled individual that is having a real life situation and the nurses are discussing lunch and their personal lives for patients to hear. Very unprofessional!!!! We waited 2 hours in the room to see the doctor while listening to a nurse discuss her private life. She then finally came in and greeted us and explained the doctor will be in shortly. 5 hours later, my disabled client gets seen, as they chatted about vacation, lunch, and sexual matters. Never again!!!’n
