Do not use this office ! Look for a different referral. This office do not treat their patients fairly! They do not keep their word and you have to run after them to complete paperwork ! Trying to set patients up to get their kids taken away! So disrespectful.

I have never been treated so poorly in my entire life. The intake coordinator Crystal and I assume her supervisor assistant director Hayley hurt me and my family so bad I don't know if we'll ever recover. My husband and I were doing everything we could to save our marriage and our lives and we were given one option which would make everything even worse and went completely against the referral for services I was given to begin with. We were told they didn't care, if we didn't do what they said, their way, they would not treat us. What happened to first do no harm? If I pick your one option my whole family will be homeless in months. How could you make that my only option?
That Hayley woman told me she didn't care If I killed myself because I didn't get the mental health help I was begging for and I didn't agree with their assessment because it was conducted improperly and very unprofessionally. She actually laughed at me while I was crying my eyes out telling her I wanted to die I was in such agony mentally. She said I had 2 options, take their assesment or not get treatment at all. That they are right and I am wrong. That isn't 2 options. That's an ultimatum. I need someone who will not discriminate against me. This whole situation has been utterly unfair to my family and I. Like their goal is to harm us not help us. I never had these issues with private insurance. Now that I have medicaid and am trying to get my life back so I can get a good job and private insurance again, these people seem to not want that for me. Like they would rather me be homeless turning tricks for drugs or something. I have never seen anything like this. So disappointed to be begging for help and have it fall on deaf ears.
I was having a full blown panic attack in that Crystal woman's office and she treated me and talked to me like I was a dog. Would not look at my referral paperwork. She has made sure that I will never get any care because she doesn't like me. That woman has ruined my whole life and destroyed what was left of my marriage. I am in process of trying to see if I can get anyone to help us but am hitting a brick wall because there is no other mental health resource in mobile that takes medicaid and apparently this Crystal woman is the end all be all and has the ability to play God with people's lives.
Avoid this place at all costs and do not go through their substance abuse people if you are experiencing any mental health crisis. They are untrained in mental health matters and utterly uninformed. No help or advocacy for the patient whatsoever.

Came here about 6 months ago for my Aunt who is severely depressed and everything was going well until she met who I call "the sorter". The workers were nice and professional, caring and very helpful. She had her initial appointment with a wonderful lady and she recommended my aunt for additional treatment. We came back to talk to the guy who decides on care. That was when everything went horrible. He was rude and cruel. Immediately he said "I don't believe anything is wrong with you," "you do this to yourself," "govt won't pay for your services go get Medicaid." I was shocked as I go to counseling with the VA and I have never been treated that horribly. My poor aunt has been even more depressed, lacking life and motivation to do anything. Poor woman is unemployed, uninsured, and technically homeless yet screw her huh. I hope no one has to go through what she went through. Wish she could have stuck with the first lady as she was terrific. Very sweet and actually got my aunt to open up about her issues. (I was in the room with them due to aunt's fear)

Half the stars just because their services are hit and miss when it comes to effective and compassionate care. There doesn't seem to be a standard which each professional follows - each one does their own thing, which makes quality of care very unpredictable. I've had great treatment, very poor treatment, and everything in between when it comes to my many years of outpatient treatment. They are the most accessible mental health treatment service in Alabama, so I guess that's the most important thing...? I hope you guys set a standard of care, or at least one which every professional actually follows, so patients don't have to deal with never knowing whether they'll feel better or worse after treatment...

This place is great. They welcome you in. Give you clean linen and feed you round the clock. Plus clean clothes. Including socks and proper attire. Underwear to be exact. And they have no problem giving you a Bible.

Accordia Health took care of me in a timely fashion. Everyone was courteous, patient and kind. They provided excellent patient care.
