This office has an overall sad and unwelcoming atmosphere. I’ve seen three providers—one was okay, one was terrible, and one was knowledgeable and caring but difficult to understand. The biggest issue is their relentless push for unnecessary appointments, seemingly for financial gain rather than patient care. I’ve been there three times in six months, yet when I needed a timely referral for a follow-up after a concerning mammogram, I had to call six times over three weeks—only to be told they refuse to approve it without yet another visit. The long waits and the cold, numbers-driven approach make each appointment frustrating and painful. If you value compassionate, efficient care, look elsewhere.

I spoke with Yelonda (hope I spelled her name correctly), and she was absolutely wonderful and helpful! I was distressed when I called and she took the time to understand my dilemma and gave me some very good, helpful information! A One Family Practice is fortunate to have her!

I called the nurses line every day for four days and left messages to call me. No one ever called. I then called the manager and left a message to call me and never received a call. Finally late I went to the office and the manager was not there and the nurses that I left messages with were not there. You know why? Their call center is not even in the United States! Getting a referral is almost impossible and the referring doctor called their office and said they will not deal with any referrals from Patel’s office due to their Incompetency. Again, out of the country! I have switched doctors.

Never in my life have I had to deal with more incompetent doctors and staff. I have had to physically go in to get someone to talk to me. Their referral team is completely lacking in communication skills and don't know how to get what they need form the doctor to put referrals through the right way. Dr Sauls needs to retire. She has never written up a good note to get my case pushed through insurance quickly even though I have sked her a hundred times to do so. This place should be out of business, it does more harm than good.

On a Friday morning, I happen to come down with a sickness that gave me no warning. So when I awoke and could barely swallow cuz my throat was so sore, I had my husband call and explain my situation to the staff in the Ormond office and he tried to see if they could see me that same day. At first they said they were booked solid w/No openings until Monday. But, I told them I couldn't wait I guess I would just have to go to the hospital. So then she put us on hold, and a short time later she was back and reported they could squeeze me and at 4:00 p.m. please don't be late because we are very busy today. I believe they were short staffed as well, there was only 1 Doctor there that day. So I was very happy that they were able to squeeze a short visit in with me to look at my throat and diagnose and prescribe needed medication. Because, I very much did not want to go to the hospital and wait for hours upon hours in a waiting room to be seen by a doctor and be treated rudely! So I promised we would be on time and thank them for making the extra effort to make time and take care of one of their patients needs, it meant a lot to me how professional the women in the front office were and management and Dr. Korma I believe her name was!? My apologies if I'm saying or spelling her name in correctly, but I'm pretty positive I'm close to what it is.. However, she was so polite well spoken and very knowledgeable and extra caring, A Gentle Touch, great bedside manner. He was pretty awesome very smart and my husband loved her as well! Actually when he and I checked out he made his appointment with her at the Ormond office instead of his original doctor office. She made a great impression on us. As well as the 2 other ladies did who were working in the front office & triage when she 1st brings you back to your personal doctors waiting room. I just want to say thank you to these three women they were great at their jobs and the Ormond office ran awesome that day as it was my first time ever being in the Ormond office so I can only assume everyday runs just as well and the other patients have the same experiences that we did! Thanks for everything!

Its a very good practice. Staff is very friendly and professional.
Areas that may need improvement
Phone calls pick up and response time
New patient appointments are long standing
Follow up calls on blood work for the patients can be improved
Office hrs availability on saturdays is immensely helpful to working people.
Reminder alerts on pending screenings is beneficial

I have been going to a1 family practice in Ormond beach for years . This is a great doctors office. I have never had a problem getting in most sane day

Friendly receptionist with very efficient team. Wait time was negligible. Care team inside was great, Amanda showed true concern and empathy. I followed up with her by patient portal and she returned my email immediately. Very impressive. 5 stars!
