I have no problem with Dr. Parrot. It's the front staff who have caused me and another family member to stop coming here. They have been rude, hateful and very snide. I had the same insurance for years and I got there one time and the girl at the window told me they don't take my insurance anymore. I called my insurance company which said she was wrong. They wouldn't even call me back to make another appointment after knowing they were at fault. The big woman at the checkout hung up on me once when I called to get test results. She pretended she was the only one there and was very busy. She put me on hold for over thirty minutes. I called from another phone and she answered. Yeah, sure she was so busy. The bottom line here is the doctors need to stop allowing untrained people to work the front.
Another thing, the girls at the back aren't even nurses. I had three admit that to me. So just anyone can walk in a pretend to be a nurse This office will be reported to the medical board

I’ve been a patient at this clinic ever since they opened their doors, and while the clinic itself is very nice and generally clean, there has been several instances with the staff that lead me to leaving this review.

First of all, this office does not do anything quickly. If you have a referral sent out from this clinic to a specialist, it’ll take a month or two of calling and checking up on the status before they will even send it. (And then you have to wait even longer for the office they sent it to even get with you about it.) If you have a question for the nurse they may not ever get back to you about it.

I have seen the PA Courtney a couple of times, and she misdiagnosed me each and every single time I saw her after only spending a couple of minutes with me. She referred me to specialists at a couple of different clinics, and those specialists confirm that her initial diagnosis’ were incorrect and that the problems I was having were classic signs of something else entirely. The issues I have are not complex or confusing by any means, and they should’ve been easily addressed without requiring a specialist. Embarrassing doesn’t even cut it. On another occasion, I went to her urgently because I was having very concerning symptoms. She took all of 10 minutes to evaluate and then sent a referral out to a specialist after all but laughing at me and my concerns, saying, “You probably don’t even need to see a specialist for this but I’ll submit the referral anyway if it makes you feel better”. That specialist identified that I actually have a very serious condition and need urgent treatment for it.
Ultimately, it makes me question her ability to correctly diagnose things, even basic and obvious things.

These experiences with her is what is leading me to leave this review. I wish the owners would reevaluate her performance.

I met my new doctor Anderson, and I absolutely love him, very personal, and polite, the entire staff was polite and smiling. My little nurse was patient and fun. If I could I would give them a 12.

I’ve seen PA, Courtney for several years for my medical concerns and those of my family. She has always been spot on with each diagnosis. She evaluates us quickly and efficiently and gets us on the right route to recovery. She has even called to check on me after her work hours! You don’t see that much these days!

Harmony Park Family Medicine is the best Dr.'s office in town. Give them a try, you most definitely will love everyone there. This establishment is full of kind, enjoyable, and good to just be around people. The staff goes above and beyond to help others as well as each other. If you are looking for a great Dr.'s office with lots of smiling faces Harmony Park is the place to be. Mrs. Yvonne, Dr. Anderson, and Dr. Parrott are the best.

The office staff, nurses, and lab techs are very kind. However, I wasn't impressed with my doctor's visit, because my visit was rushed and I had some concerns and questions about my knee constantly being swollen and in pain.

So, today I called at 9:36am, regarding my billing and my chart and was told that the office manager would give me a call to go over my questions and billing. Finally, receive the office manager's call at 5:15pm.

And she explained how the charts work, and my billing concern, but; however, I don't think she understood my questions about why I was told I was denied for an MRI days before it was even submitted to my insurance. There must be a disconnect between insurance and Harmony Park and it needs to be addressed, but she tried to explain even though the dates still just didn't add up.

But none of that is what earned this review and what should've been no stars at all! It was the rudeness, her statement that not every doctor is for every patient, and her expressing her passion for minority health when she couldn't understand why I felt rushed and neglected for not being given an X-Ray during my visit based on my knee symptoms. So I told her I would start looking for a new primary and so she told me that I need to come in and sign a patient termination form (understood). So, I told her I would come in and do it once I found myself a new primary, and she proceeded to tell me that she already terminated me as a patient. What was the purpose of telling me to come in to sign the form? It is very unpleasant to hear you take minority health and health seriously when your actions say otherwise and you terminate patients before they find a new primary. Make it make sense!

Reply to response below:
Ms.Yvonne, I am not asking anyone to discuss my chart online, and I would hope it wouldn't happen because it wouldn't be in compliance with HIPAA. I am just sharing my experience and giving a honest review.

"You will need to come in and sign the termination form" and "I've already terminated you" were YOUR exact words on the call, not mine. Given the fact, you said you are the office manager and COO I was led to believe that's the correct name of the form and that you terminated me as a patient.

I am well aware that approvals for an MRI do not come from the doctor, but again my question is still not being understood, so don't worry about it!

Also, just for the record I never said anything in regards to my ethnicity or said anything at ALL about it playing a role in my health care. You felt the need to discuss minority health.

Dr. Anderson goes above and beyond for his patients. He found a large heart aneurysm during my dad's routine checkup. My dad had been cleared by his local heart doctor just 2 weeks prior! We went to AHH and the aneurysm was immediately removed. Dr. A saved my dad's life! I use him also and have never ever had a better doctor. He listens and really does care about his patients.

Dr Parrott and his staff are great. Takes plenty of time with my wife and I every visit and as we’ve moved recently to this area, he did a thorough investigation of our history to understand better how he could help us.
Glad we decided on Dr Parrott as our primary physician.
