Dr. Mansfield is top notch. Kind compassionate and dedicated to his patients so sorry to hear he is leaving the practice at the end of the month. I had used Scott Salmon in the past he is the exact opposite of Dr Mansfield a cystoscopy preformed was extremely there was no time for the numbing solution to take effect. I remained with him and was talked into the in office resume treatment which was like a total touchure treatment these procedures have caused more scaring and stri res. Dr. Salmon is rude and uncaring I am sure he enjoys the insurance payments certainly has no compassion little to no explanations my advice don't ever do the rezu.e treatment find another urologist. Dr3 joh Mansfield is a GREAT doctor sad to see him leaving the practice my last appointment with him is at the end of the month ND don't know what I will do to find another uro6 but it certainly won't be with Scott Salmon

I have never had such terrible care from a hospital. I’m 14 weeks pregnant and have Hydronephrosis and kidney stones. I went to the ER Wednesday afternoon and Dr Salmon placed a stent the next day. The medication that was prescribed to me for the pain (not by him but the ER doctor) hasn’t helped the pain at all. I called them the next day leaving a voicemail stating the immense pain I was in. Never received a call back. The stent has been causing so much pain I can’t stand or walk. I informed them of this also with no change of plan from Dr. Salmon. Sunday I started having vaginal bleeding so I went back to the ER. They checked the baby and everything was okay but I continued to tell this doctor and nurse of the immense pain of the stent. They didn’t call a urologist to check anything nor change my medication or help in any way. I was just sent home. The pain continued and I saw dr salmon in office Wednesday. Again no change of medication, medical plan, didn’t check the stent or the cause of the pain. Nothing. I called within an hour of that appt telling them I wanted to schedule the appt for surgery. I told them a week I would be unavailable and I get a call from the scheduler and she scheduled me that week I would be unavailable and I told her I was unable to make it. She and Dr. Salmon both separately told me they would squeeze me in because it is urgent. I never received a call back from the surgery scheduler for a new appt. I have called multiple times and left multiple messages with no return of call from the surgery scheduler - Kailyn. I also spoke to Melissa the manager with zero help and she literally giggled on the phone and said “I don’t know how to help you”. And an end of a phone call. I called the nurses line to see what other options I had since the urologist team has been very negligent. She just told me to go back to the ER. I Can’t financially keep forking out ER bills to not even get the help I need. I am at lost and absolutely disgusted with the lack of care I have received. I am concerned for my babies health as these issues have caused vaginal bleeding and Braxton hicks. And also forced my hand in taking opioids to help ease the pain. None of which is healthy and putting my life and the baby’s life at risk. Absolutely frustrating and devastating.

Dr. Salmon has the worst beside manners and told my husband that he wasn't sure why he came to see him. We had a stat referral to see Dr. Mansfield but instead they scheduled my husband with Dr. Salmon who is really full of himself. The condition that my husband was diagnosed with is a perineum injury from riding horses. He has ridden his whole life, we ranch, and he ropes. This is my husbands outlet and Dr. Salmon said that there is nothing you can do for it but stop riding. Dr. Salmon followed up with, "If you continue to ride horses, don't come back to me. I don't want to see you again." Who says that? I asked if he could do physical therapy or chiropractic care to improve his condition and he said that might work but you could try it. All my husband heard was that his livelihood was over and he took off work to have this doctor treat him terribly. Dr. Salmon needs more training on how to talk to people and treat them with respect. I wouldn't take my dog to him and we will not go back if we can't see Dr. Mansfield for future appointments if we ever need one. Summit is getting a bad reputation from their quality of care and billing office.

This review is for those who want to take responsibility for their own health or that of their loved one and want to know what to expect in order to prepare for this prostrate biopsy procedure with Dr. Scott Salmon III.
Be aware this procedure is fairly painful and the bedside manner of Dr. Salmon is fairly unsupportive. Prepare for potential complications ahead of time. Write down phone numbers of responsible staff. Write down name and contact information for those who can answer questions. The paperwork says to call if there are certain issues, but no contact info is included on the paperwork. If you call the number for Dr. Salmon, your call will go to the Summit switchboard and may never reach the intended doctor. Plan ahead of time for the steps to take if complications arise. If the only option offered is go to ER should you have a fever, make sure you are ok with being exposed to Covid and other infections in addition to the one you got from Dr. Salmon's procedures. Ask your family physician ahead of time to have a plan for at home care in the event of infection. Be aware of the need to monitor your temperature and using ice packs for several days to get your fever under control. You will need to be proactive about drinking copious amounts of liquid. Be aware you will be prescribed no pain meds nor antibiotics by Dr. Salmon and he is not available to speak with you until your scheduled follow up visit. His solution for all complications is to just go to ER. Be aware that recovering from the infection from this biopsy can take about 2 weeks with some lingering effects. Educate yourself about the causes of infection in hospitals, outpatient clinics and health care facilities. Before your procedure, be proactive and ask if these precautions have been followed.

Best Doctor I ever had Period. I've gone to Doctors in Sun City for treatments. By far he did the best for me. I rate him 5 stars because he could have canceled my appointment due to his family Emergency but he said I was important to him. He operated on me and did an excellent job. I feel 100% better. Good Job Doc. Thank You Again. Highly Recommend.

If I could give negative stars I would. He is rude and not professional. The patients are herded like cattle. We were given no post op instructions. There are to many things to list here on what happened after the procedure and the continuing health issues to list here. But I know all things don't go as planned but when we call as a patient and have a fever of over 102 and were told by the staff they were not sure what to do and he didn't call back for over 24 hours all I can say is shame on you. It's obviously about the money and the bottom line. Thank GOD for our local Dr. Becky Thompson for caring about us as a person and not just another number. It's sad that I can not say one nice thing about this person but as a Dr who literally does a procedure and doesn't train his staff to handle this kind of emergency with other than a response of "I don't know" sad. Especially with Covid-19 and the emergency room as a possible infection area. A little concern and a procedure plan in place will go a long way with your patient care. I know this Dr. is from a large area, but we are a small community and we take pride in taking care of our small town community. So anyone considering using this Dr. I would recommend checking to see if he has since updated his procedures in a "what if" situation. Also a little less ice and bite to your tone while speaking to a patient in this situation would also go a long way, instead of treating us like we are below you and a terrible inconvenience.

Every time I have visited Dr. Mansfield he has been willing and able to answer questions and concerns. We came to him looking for answers and help with our toddlers unusual condition. I appreciate the time and consideration from all of the staff here and the positive way they treated my son. Thank you all.

Dr mansfield helped me through several severe kidney stones, and problems during my last pregnancy. He has been a kind listener and taken every precaution.
