My review only is coming after leaving this clinic for another one. Seeing the difference has made me feel very foolish for staying here so long and this upfront "retainer fee" for every procedure is not practiced where I am going now. I tend to wonder if it's even legal? After a procedure gone wrong, which we know can happen. We went in FOUR months in a row for useless trigger shots, no medications perscribed except muscle relaxers (they didn't even work). So four months of this "FEE" is that we are out $1,000 for absolutely nothing. Now I see they are changing doctors for the second time in a year. To me this points to a breakdown in that department. Don't get me wrong the nurses are top notch. All I know personally is my husband has been given different medications prescribed, shots given in the office (never once at a office visit at McClaren). And no loan shark entry fee for a procedure. I really suggest based on personal experience - try somewhere else first. *At one of the first procedures there I asked about the "co-pay". They looked at me like I was crazy and said we just bill insurance. Hmmm, interesting thought? Ay?

Look, If you have a real medical problem, you should know it doesn't fix in 1 appointment! I have been getting procedures done here for 4 years. The Nurses are Awsome! The Dr.s are very good! And the office/appointment lady's are amazing as well! If you get a short answer, maybe it's because they deal with dramatic people every day! I say this because of the bad reviews iv seen. If your looking for the team that really helps and loves what they do, this is the place. And I say that knowing that I would NOT use the rest of the hospital even if my life depended on it. All my special Dr.s are down south, Trinity, Henry Ford, And U of M. I would not use McLaren ever for a hospital visit. But Pain Management... They are Awsome! The only Problem is McLaren dosent keep good Dr.s when they find them. They keep rotating them every year. I will continue untill McLaren messes it up.

I have been several times. Instead of using the waiting room that they actually have, I have been stuffed into a supply closet to wait. Facilities and practices are outdated. They struggle to keep providers, and no wonder. Go elsewhere.

I am in EXCRUCIATING PAIN all day everyday, so when the Doctor I was going to got in trouble with the law for over charging Medicaid and Medicare. I started going to this place back in 2010-2012, the Dr that was there at the time made me come off my anxiety meds, my seizure meds and the meds my pcp prescribed to help me get a little sleep. They told me if I didn't stop taking them and getting refills for them that they would decrease my pain meds because I couldn't be on pain meds and those other meds too. So I stopped taking them, I started having more seizures, my anxiety got bad again as well and I was doing really well getting out of my shell. So I stopped going for a few years and restarted going in 2016 after A bad accident in and multiple surgeries on my right knee and my failed back fusion started giving me issues again and the pain got bad. The Dr would attack my weight telling me I needed to stop eating so much and wouldn't believe my husband, daughter, or caregiver that I didn't eat much at all. In 2017 after moving back to The Bay City area I had an appointment down in lapeer with the pain clinic Dr, so my husband took the day off of work to take me, my caregiver went with us too because my husband couldn't care for me while driving if I had a seizure. We get down to lapeer and we wait to see the Dr and when he comes in he has some papers in his hand which one of them was a pie chart for eating fruits and veggies etc. He proceeds to tell me I need to lose weight and these are the things I should be eating and that I should be doing the Intermittent diet (unknown to me at the time that's what I had been doing since I was 11and developed an eating disorder). He was looking at my husband and talking to him and not looking at me when I asked him if he ate the stuff on this list and the pie chart, he continued to talk with my husband and ignored me, and my husband is trying to tell him that I don't eat that much at all ever, but he proceeds talking with my husband ignoring me still when I ask him if hes ever eaten those things on the pie chart or the other papers. Finally I had enough and basicly yelled out but i just raised my voice a bit and asked him if he ate that stuff 3 or 4 times and he finally answered me saying yes he does eat those things and I called him a liar just like he was doing to me. After all of that he started going through my file and says wait a minute your last urine test tested positive for THC, I proceed to tell him I don't use that stuff, etc. because I really don't use that stuff or smoke it, he tells me id have to find another Dr. because hes not risking his license, game me 2 scripts for my hydrocodone and says don't come back. So fast forward to 2019, my PCP wants me to give this clinic another try because they have a different Dr down there, so I say ok. Yeah that was pretty stupid. I wouldn't take my neighbors dog there and I don't like him. I wouldn't recommend this clinic to anyone.

Don't come here if your in serious pain. Go somewhere else, anywhere else. I have a back injury and I push through copious amounts of pain everyday. I do steroid injections and epidurals as often as I can. Just re-injured my back and they can't give me an epidural until the following week, I asked for pain meds to get me by until then and they said no. I asked why and they flat out couldn't tell me. I'm not se junky looking for a fox, I never go to do amn doctor and this is why. I'm not trying to get full script of pain meds or a refill on a past one but just enough to keep my pain at bay until my epidural and they refused with no explanation and Doctor Ihsan Asbahi couldn't even tell me this himself even though I asked to speak with him directly. Instead he had his nurses do it for him with no excuses why...... Don't waste your time here. Go get treatment somewhere else.
