The front desk receptionist (Dani)? Was very rude when I called. This has happened more than once. My Dr Chad Brimhall is great and so is his medical assistant. My last appointment she said I could call and talk to her or leave a message. She also explained that I could get a phone call returned from her or the doctor and even do a phone visit if needed. But, you can’t get through the front desk girl to do any of that. She was very rude and condescending. I live 30 minutes out of Snowflake so it’s not always convenient to make an appointment when you just need to ask a quick question. I will be explaining this to my provider when I actually do make an appointment.

10/11 @ 12:30pm . Only came to this specific clinic because they could do TB testing walk ins. Needed to get it done for a job and front desk receptionist Dannie was very disrespectful. Genuinely was appalled at the way she spoke to us, almost thought it was a joke for a second until it kept going.
She made it very obvious we were an inconvenience, EVEN rolled her eyes at us when we mentioned needing 3 tests done. MIND YOU, the waiting room was empty and it was quiet there. Grunting and sighing at everything we were saying and treating us poorly when I mentioned that our company is paying for these tests to be done and not us. She continued to sigh and when we had questions, she called her boss and would nonchalantly make us out to sound stupid? I wish this were a joke but 3 of us who were there and experienced this disrespect from the minute we walked in, was absolutely ridiculous. Maybe she should work in corrections instead.. anywhere where her rudeness is tolerated ‍♀️

Very poor communicators. I've been going there for about a year now, and my first experience was with urgent care. I presented with breathing difficulties after having moved up here from the valley about a month earlier, and the first thing I was told was that my symptoms were very consistent with COPD. They sent me to Show Low for a pulmonary function test, then made me wait a month and a half for the results! Thankfully, it only turned out to be altitude-related, but the wait was excruciating! Recently, I had a statin refill request denied for no reason (according to the pharmacy), so I went to the doctor's office to inquire. I was told the scrip was denied because Dr. Murphy wanted to see me, but no one bothered to take the time to simply pick up the phone and call me to let me know. It's as if the doctor's time is important, but not the patient's. These folks also like to pass the buck. Whoever you talk to about an issue, it's always someone else's fault. The billing department also sucks. I just received a bill for my urgent care visit that was over a year old! The actual care I have received over the past year has been adequate, but there's more to running a medical practice than that. These folks just don't seem to have it together, but that seems to be the standard up here. I thought Phoenix was bad!

The front desk lady laughed at me on the phone today while trying to set up an appointment next week to get a prescription refilled. I won't be going back, I am switching primary care doctors ASAP for today was the straw that broke the camels back.
Dr. Brimhall will also blame everything that's wrong with you on petty things like using medical marijuana, so there's that too. Get with the times and quit judging people based on 50 year old theories. Not everyone is Mormon like you.

Staff and walk-in clinic were great experiences. However, Murphy lacks professionalism. He talks down to his patient when they raise medical concerns. Learn some tact. I knew something was off about him when doing my children's intake appointments. He just had an overall condescending attitude with them. A medical office is no place for the unprofessional comments and attitude. You're not funny if that was what you were going for. Unfortunately, his rude comments and behavior reflect negatively upon all of summit.

19 November 2024 update

I suppose Murphy and his unprofessional demeanor has rubbed off on the front desk staff as well. The woman intaking my son and I thought it would be cute to make inappropriate "jokes" rather than act like a professional. Time to find a new urgent care as well.

Dr. Brimhall and the staff at this clinic are THE BEST in all of the White Mountains. I am SO glad that I am one of Dr. Brimhall's patients. I live local/full-time in Lakeside, AZ. I gladly drive 35 minutes to appointments there. As a retired Army combat veteran, I've had horrible experiences with the VA. On my first appointment with Dr. Brimhall, he assured me that he would be the doctor I would trust. He was 100% right! It has been over 16 years since I trusted another doctor. Dr. Brimhall listened to me, took his time with me, and formulated a good plan. He changed my life. There has not been a day that goes by that I dont think about how my life has changed for the better because of Dr. Brimhall. His word is gold to me. There has not been one appointment that I have not left without hugging Dr. Brimhall. God bless this clinic, Dr. Brimhall, and all its staff! If I could write a 10 star review, I would in a heartbeat.

Some advice... It's not wise to tell someone that was late that they will have to reschedule for 3 months away when they had already waited months for their current appointment. I struggle with mental health, hence why I had an appointment. You don't know what sort of a day a person had, struggling to even make it out of bed and get there in the first place. Perhaps you could have suggested I wait and be squeezed in. I highly doubt my spot had filled. Some compassion can go a long way. Ypu didn't even bother to ask the doctor if he could still see me. I hope you are never put in my shoes. The doctor's I've seen have been great. The front desk has left a lot to be desired.
