Could barely ease myself in with my walker. They said have a seat. They then took my documents from me and I didn’t have to move again till it was my turn and all I had to do was stop and sign on way to X ray. X ray made sure I could make it up the steps to the platform. They tried to make it as comfortable as possible for the position I had to be in for the X rays the Doctor ordered. The whole visit didn’t take more than 20 minutes. WOW what service. ( and did I say friendly ). Even laughing at my jokes!😎🌴

This was my first time dealing with this hospital. I ended up having surgery here due to the fact my podiatrist does his surgeries here. All went smoothly from the nurses calling ahead of time to go through my medical history and notify me of my arrival time. On the day of surgery both volunteers at the front desk promptly greeted me with a warm smile. Shortly after I was taken in to have intake done. That went quickly. The sweet volunteer walked me back to pre-op area where I was greeted with a friendly smile by Gwen. Gwen was the amazing nurse who prepared me for surgery. She was caring, sweet and sincere.

When it became time for surgery my doctor along with the OR nurses and the Anesthesiologist all came and spoke with me. All very friendly, nice smiles, a wonderful demeanor that put you at ease. Once in the operating room they made me comfortable and were a well orchestrated team preparing for surgery. Upon waling up in recovery the nurse had a calm soothing voice offering ice chips and juice. She was very methodical in getting all recovery aspects taken care of friendly and efficiently.

Overall a great experience with amazing staff members. I would not hesitate to get another surgery done here. I will recommend this hospital to family and friends as it is by far the best experience I have had w my plethora of surgeries.

I was admitted to the ER and then admitted to the floor for roughly 6 days. Gallbladder surgery and some subsequent issues from my pancreas caused me to interact with tons of nurses, doctors, assistants, phlebotomists etc. This rating was absolutely saved by the Nurses I experienced in my stay. I legitimately have never been somewhere with so many incredible nurses with phenomenal attitudes who care so much about their patients. Specifically, RN Gary, was an incredible Nurse. He was such a kind human and was a very good advocate for me as his patient. Gary was and deserves a big shoutout from Dignity Health. Doctor Mansuri was also a very caring Surgeon who went above and beyond for me.

The bad: Dr Agafonova was one of the worst communicators I have ever seen in a medical setting. I had to constantly challenge and ask questions to ensure my care was going the direction the surgeons wanted it to go as opposed to what this doctor was coming up with. From taking hours to answer simple questions to recommending I discharge from the hospital earlier then the surgeons had recommended. I am firmly convinced that this doctor and her decisions were a significant reason I had to stay so much longer then expected.

My instinct initially was to give a bad rating for the stay at this hospital because of one doctor but I elected to go 4 stars because of the overall care I received from my nurses and other staff while I was in the hospital.

Terrible ER. The doctor brushed me off when I described what I was feeling, ran a blood test to make me feel better & made sure I had a pulse in my legs even though I asked for more help. He was nice I guess? but in lazy in my opinion. The nurse who discharged me was extremely rude. Was waiting for my ride, she gave me a very rude look and in a condescending tone said “did you need a ride or something” like of course I do, you think I’m in the waiting room for fun Then 10 mins after that the security guard asked if I was waiting on a ride. They didn’t want to see me in their hospital for a second longer. Very rude. Don’t recommend going here. Really to any dignity, you’ll likely get the same lazy doctor even if you go out of your way to a new location like I did. Wasted time & had to pay $70 for an uber back home. They WILL do a great job at making you feel stupid 🙂

My experiences are always great, only last time, the person in the ER registration was not very nice at all. She wasn't very nice to anyone that came in. Dismissive, condensing and wouldn't even make eye contact. I have to say that besides the fact that I was hurting, I was also uncomfortable with that interaction. I'm glad I was taken back as quickly as I usually experience and that the wonderful staff in the ER was a total opposite experience. They were kind and listened to everything. They worked to help me without making me feel like my visit to their workplace ruined their day.

I had the misfortune of going to the ER while on a family trip in Pismo beach. However, i can say that the staff and promptness of Arroyo grande community hospital was excellent. Socal hospitals could definitely learn a thing or two from this hospital. Im feeling much better now. Thank you🙏🏼

I waited over 2-hours to have my blood drawn. There must be a more efficient method for lab work to be completed. Thankfully, I wasn’t fasting. I did need a urinalysis and had to ask for a specimen cup before I exploded. Please improve wait-time!
