I’m heartbroken and outraged at the lack of compassion and responsibility shown by this facility. My cousin is severely mentally ill and has been suffering from schizophrenia for years. Over the past nine months, there have been numerous alarming events that clearly showed he is unable to care for himself, yet despite pleading with the doctors and administrators to place him under a conservatorship, they refused. My aunt, his mother, begged them to take action — not once, not twice, but over and over again — and was completely dismissed. I also reached out personally and urged them not to send him to a boarding care facility, because we knew he would walk away. We’ve been through this before. Boarding cares do not work for him. He needs a higher level of care, supervision, and support. We shared this insight with them, hoping they would take into account what his family, the people who know him best, had to say. They didn’t. Now, predictably and tragically, he’s back on the streets. They had a chance to intervene, to listen to the people who love him, and to prevent this — but they chose not to. This facility failed him, and they failed us. Families deserve to be heard. Patients like my cousin deserve better.

I wish there was a way to leave zero stars for this place because they don’t even deserve 1 star . I don’t understand the 5 star rating for this careless place . All these people care is about money they don’t give one dam about their patients. My cousin was sent to this place after my aunt advised this wasn’t the right facility that would suit his needs or concerns. Unfortunately my cousin in which we’re all extremely worried about is nowhere to be found after the careless people failed to make one quick call to let the family know he voluntarily walked out. What person/ or worker in their right mind not call give the heads up . Obviously patients there all suffer from some type of mental disorder. So why would you think a person is ok to walk out without communicating it with the family . I definitely don’t recommend anyone taking their family members here . If you want your loved ones to be safe , this definitely isn’t the place.
