Why does this facility have such low reviews and no one has reported them or done anything about it If a facility is hurting Patients, not listening to them, not given them adequate care, not making medication adjustments, and physically hurting patients,... why hasn't someone reported them, filed a lawsuit, or done something. You people just let them continue This Is hospital and they should be CARING for patients. They are supposed to walk these patients to recovery not hurt them
Can someone please tell me why they have not been reported? Filing a court order and complaint is crucial for checks and balances of these facilities. We need to all step up and be better. If a facility is hurting people more that helping them succeed, then they have no business in the business. These facility need to vetted with a fine comb, care monitored by state officials, families of patients, etc. If this place is not helping ppl with their problems, they need to be shut down!

I give them 2 stars just for doing something many don't want to do, but wow they are terrible about answering their phones. My son is in the facility (I think), and after 2 straight days of calling no one has answered at ANY department. This is not the first time, nor am I the only one complaining about this. We really need to figure out how we can start a good mental health facility in AZ, because they do not exist!

They never answer their phone, they hire untrained, uneducated people that act like they hate their jobs. I suggest everyone contact AHCCCS and Mercy care to complain about UPC’s lack of coordination with family of members. As an emergency inpatient, you would think they would be sensitive to mental health disorders but instead they act as if they’re burned out from their jobs. We as a community must put a stop to this and address the insurance company that pays UPC.

my partner was transported here by law enforcement after having a mental break. the whole experience was terrible. when law enforcement took my partner, they didn’t even tell me where they were taking him. i had to use his shared location to even find out where he was at. after i located him, i called the facility multiple times and they lied to me again and again and told me no one was in their facility under my partner’s name or date of birth. hours later a case worker finally called me, told me my partner was okay, and told me i could call back at any time to check in on him and that he would be released within 24 hours since he was a voluntary commit/admit. this was a lie as i called throughout the duration of his stay - which was almost 48 hours - and was repeatedly lied to and treated horribly by staff. one staff member even advised me to no longer call and check on my partner which is unacceptable. my partner’s friends also called to check in and were given the same exact run around.

my partner was released after almost 2 days in this facility and when he arrived home he was absolutely drained. he told me that staff never alerted him of my phone calls and would not allow him to contact me when he asked to. he also had a sprained ankle that was blue, swollen, and full of fluid. he asked facility employees for medical attention and they refused and wouldn’t even administer tylenol.

i’m just glad that he’s back home and that he wasn’t there for longer than he was because i have no idea what more could have gone wrong.

i really wish this place cared more about their patients and their loved ones. the treatment we all received was less than acceptable.

My brother just got released from that facility today and his experience was awful! They didn’t want to listen to him when he told them that he needed something to help with his detox. They didn’t care how he felt, he did begin to get irate because nobody was listening to him, and nobody wanted to help him. Five bodyguards grabbed him. One bodyguard slammed him and then another kneed him in his ribs. They threw him in a padded room and started putting some kind of fumes through the vents for 30 minutes, and they finally took him out when he couldn’t breathe anymore. They gave him two shots in his butt that he was allergic to . They let him have an allergic reaction for 7 to 8 hours before they took him to the hospital and he was grinding his teeth so bad that one of them chipped and he was chewing on his tongue and now he can barely even talk. He said they treat you worse than a dog on the street there and I will get Justice for my brother, because this is not OK! People go there to get help not to be abused and demeaned , and looked down Upon! I AM LOOKING INTO GETTING A LAWYER!

Edit 2024: working for them sucks as well. 0/10 would not recommend

Not exactly the happiest place. You can tell that no one wants to be there based on their attitudes and probably the way they are treated by corporate. The only person who was truly nice and compassionate was the nurse/medical
assistant who was taking notes whose name I cannot remember and the intake guy. The therapist was ok but made a hurtful backhanded joke that wasn't the nicest. The psychiatrist was average but minimized my experiences with Effexor withdrawl and insisted my symptoms could not have been from withdrawl despite being the lowest I had ever been in 10 YEARS directly after the withdrawl and experiencing some of the nastiest symptoms ever that I'd never experienced with withdrawl from any other anti-depressant. It is ok if you need an emergency refill, but not that good for anything else. I cannot imagine how the inpatient patients feel.

Last year was at this Facility for "Mental health Issues." Family members along with their church members plotting to come together and put me in here to leave me here, didnt work. Needles to say I've enjoyed my stay here for a few weeks. The temperature was Amazing as well for the treatment and hospitality I've received from a few Employee's here like Isaac for having groups and getting to know one another as well for teaching me a few games on how to play cards. Awesome brother right there. Epiphany, for the care and Respect she gave me. Shelby, an amazing Women that should be lucky to have as a Employee. Probably didn't know that I knew who she was but a very Respected Individual that has a heart of Gold. As well for a Nurse that went by "Barbie" forgot her name but a beautiful blonde Women as well. Can't forget another Employee that would serve us with Snacks, lunch, and dinner. Appreciat the love you gave us and served us. I forgot your name but will never forget how you treated me like a Brother and full hospitality. You all had my back as well for I'll always have yours Can't forget the Janitors/Maintence workers for keeping the facility clean and giving me Respect as well like the Older gentleman with the Red shirt and would wear his hat's. Awesome man you have working there. Keeping the restrooms clean and talking to you with full Respect. Also a young Women that would keep the floors clean and be on her Job duty. Recognize my people of Race because they're one of the hardest working people out there. Don't belittle them because of the Language barrier. Can't forget about the nice Women at the front desk. Very polite and even asking me that they've enjoyed having me there and to come back next time. Although a few Employee's didn't have the heart to be kind to others there which I get. Since it's difficult controlling how another acts towards you but I know they're trying their best. I honestly took it here like s Vacation from family problems and what I have going with my own. Honestly loved the care you've given me here. Amazing facility of treatment here
