If you have any sort of trauma history or are uncomfortable with things she will not make you feel comforted, explain what she is doing, or make you feel validated. Emphasis on not validated because I was told what I was experiencing was normal when previous doctors before have told me it’s not and I’ve had to do plenty tests to get to the bottom of it. I don’t want to be rude but this was another rude awakening as to how blunt and cold some doctors can be.

To say I'm disappointed by Dr. kareti is putting it lightly. She would not listen to my concerns, my symptoms of premenopause. She offered no help, no suggestions. She would not test my hormones. Then she hurt me so bad during exam is flinched and cries out in pain. Bleed for days after and cramped something terrible. I'm not a spring Chicken and I've never been hurt during a routine exam. She was also the doctor I got when I gave birth to my youngest(almost 4 years ago). She stitched me up so badly that I have scar tissue where no one should and can't even enjoy sex! It hurts! My other OBGYN from other births let me heal naturally in spots so I could enjoy things again she said. My tearing wasn't very bad. But as the people at Sutter said to me when I asked for someone else, "you get what you get because you saw her before. That's all I can offer you."

As a first time mom I won’t recommend going to Kareti. I felt so clueless during my pregnancy and after my pregnancy. She doesn’t explain anything. As a first time mom i was expecting to learn more but she’ll answer if you have any questions. she won’t give you heads up about what’s coming and what to expect. My water broke i didn’t even know i called the office they said its nothing time your contraction. I was in so much pain decided to go to the hospital, then i figured out my water broke 24 hours ago. Good thing infection didn’t spread. After my postpartum visit she don’t tell you anything if you get period when to expect your period or nothing she just told me i’m good I recovered i can go to work and exercise. Later after i start my period no cramps nothing and i had hemorrhoids month before my baby born. Still didn’t recover from hemorrhoids. I wish she should’ve gave me heads up about hemorrhoids and periods cause i was freaking about wounding whats going on with my body i wasn’t sure if that was as my period or what cause i heard from my friends if you’re breast-feeding you usually don’t get periods that why i was soo confused and depressed.i got postpartum depression. Couldn’t get appointments with kareti. So, i made an appointment with my provider she help. Please first time mom if you want somebody to care about you do your research and don’t go to kareti. I know what i’m going thru.

I was a patient with Dr. Kareti for my pregnancy. She did not listen to any of my concerns or showed any compassion towards me. I had a lot of complications with my pregnancy that led me to a high risk pregnancy due to her negligence.

Dr. Kareti delivered my 10+lbs son naturally back in 2010 and then my 9+lbs son in 2013. Every visit I had she made me feel comfortable and knew what to expect. When my first son's delivery got to be challenging for me, she did a great job calming me and helping me. My son was born with zero issues which is amazing given his size. I believe that Is a huge testament for her skills. Then, during my next delivery she comforted me without my asking. I highly recommend her!
