I was seen for high fever and sore throat, and diagnosed with tonsillitis. First-time patient, made my appointment the same day and was very impressed by how smoothly the process went. Billing rates were extremely reasonable (~$80 for the visit, with the Anthem PPO network discount), and the care team of Elizabeth Ibarra NP and Nettie Brown MA was phenomenal. I felt like I was in really good hands.

It was a blessing for me to be able to make this appointment in the same day. The receptionist was kind and so polite. The medical staff was nice as well. My visit was with NP Patrick and he was a Godsend..He listened and took time, I never felt rushed. I really appreciated finally someone helping me. I chose Carbon Health Urgent Care in Albany based on its strong ratings and reviews, but I was extremely disappointed with the care my teenage son received.

While playing basketball, my son hurt his finger, and we sought immediate care. Upon arrival, we discovered that the Albany location lacks an X-ray machine, a surprising gap for an urgent care facility. They sent us to their Oakland site for X-rays, turning what should have been a quick visit into an all-day ordeal.

Just five minutes before closing, the doctor called my wife while he was driving and told her to take our son to the ER based on the X-rays. When she asked why, he offered no explanation, just repeated that he needed to go. This vague, last-second call left us panicked and in the dark, forcing us to rush to the ER without understanding the severity of the situation.

At the ER, they redid the X-rays, diagnosed the fracture, immobilized his finger, and recommended an orthopedic follow-up. Why couldn’t Carbon Health Urgent Care do this? It seems they either misread the X-rays or didn’t bother explaining. The result: a $3,000+ bill for ER X-rays and a splint.

The staff at Carbon Health Urgent Care were friendly, but that doesn’t offset the poor service or the financial hit. Between missing equipment, poor communication, and a massive bill, this was a nightmare. I can’t recommend them, go elsewhere!

After spending a week in Colorado with a terrible cold, I landed at SFO with a splitting headache and had incredible ear pain on the plane. At baggage claim I opened the Carbon Health app and scheduled an appointment for that afternoon. I started antibiotics that day and felt relief soon after.

The staff at Carbon is knowledgeable and the speed at which I can be seen is extraordinary.

The staff is perfect, extremely knowledgable, courteous, and efficient. I feel lucky to have found such a service that is available late on a weekend with relatively short notice.

They do their best to compensate for a mediocre information system. Because the booking system has no idea of the actual backlog onsite the system continues to accept reservations for new patients even when they are already booked up for the day.

I was happy to have access to care at Carbon Health. My PCP and the ENT were unable to fit me in ( for 2 weeks). CH took a decent history and went over my allergies and medications before treatment. I was pleased with the level of care.
