Dr. and Helman and his office staff were pleasant and professional, and the facility is modern and comfortable. He came to the exam room promptly and after a quick discussion about my symptoms and general health, the tests were performed. It only took about 15 minutes. Given that the tests are designed to test how well the nerves conduct pain, it was not too uncomfortable... certainly not as bad as the condition the tests are intended to diagnose and (hopefully) resolve.

Waited over 2 months for an appointment (which is typical and out of their control), but then it was cancelled just a couple hours before on the morning of - twice. Both times citing "the system is down". However, the 2nd time, I wasn't called, I was only notified on their internal messaging system (which I obviously don't monitor, and this was an initial consult) and was turned away when I showed up. When I left I checked the message, and it again cited system being down, but when I was in the office, I was shown their computer screens to view the message & calendar - the system was very much working. Also, she even told me the doc just hadn't been there in 2 days.

Then for my 3rd attempt, I was actually in the hospital all night - for the very issues I had an appointment. I missed as the appt was early in the morning. When I came to reschedule they told me it would be over 3 more months out.

I can only speculate, but it seems either doctor entitlement and lack of respect for patients time, or the doc had a genuine issue and the staff just lied about the reason when they could have been honest but vague. Either way, total waste of time. Good thing I've had enough experience with docs to double up and have an appt w another neurologist already.

Both Dr Dale and the technician were very friendly and approachable. Actually, I must say that as soon as I walked into the office, I felt very welcomed and treated with the utmost respect.

No wait time. Dr Helman saw me immediately for my appointment. And Dr. Helman is very friendly. I would give 5 stars except it is nearly impossible to contact the office by phone to make an appointment or request refills. I left messages 3 times over 2 or 3 months. Nobody returned my call. I tried to use the scheduling feature on the website. But that also was not functioning. However, in regards to the visit itself, I am happy with that.

Dr. Helman is the best doctor I have even seen. He is extremely knowledgeable, proactive, and compassionate. I started seeing him a few months ago, after seeing several doctors over the past 3 years. After a few visits he found the cause of my issues. I truly feel blessed to have found him, he is truly amazing!
