My mother is been seen by Dr. Valerie Choy at Laurel internal medicine for years..Dr Choy is good, but mom speaks Spanish so I rather have a spanish speaking instead of having me or an interpreter translate. Last Visit she order her assistant to send a prescription for a walker for mom since hers broke. This was on March 18th . I called the pharmacy like 4 times and 4- 5 times Laurel internal medicine and they tell me they're going to forward message to Dr. Choy. The pharmacy never received the order . It's been 35 working days excluding weekends, and no walker yet.🙂‍↕️😡

If I could give zero stars, I would. I've had many issues with this clinic. They have one doctor who is nice and made my daughter very comfortable, Doctor Garcia. She isn't my daughters primary, but that was the once in a lifetime pleasant experience at this location. Unfortunately, the office workers are insensitive and extremely rude. They are bad with scheduling, and communication is aggressively horrible. Especially when speaking with "Liliana", if that's really her name. She wouldn't give me the information to file a complaint. She just kept repeating her first name only. She told me to go into the office and talk to her if i had any issues. My family normally receives care at laurel Family Practice, but due to limited scheduling, we occasionally have been sent to this location. My son got boiling grease on his face, and she sent him away at 9 am. to come back for an appointment she had scheduled for 2 pm. I called to confirm, and she said that the injury was work related and that they wouldn't be able to give him any care. I asked why he wasn't notified or sent to the emergency department, but she continuously interrupted my sentences, saying that they couldn't help they don't do workmens comp. My son didn't plan to file workmens comp. He just wanted imitate care. To prevent any scars on his face. He explained that the injury occurred at work. If I didn't call to confirm, he would have endured the pain longer, and my son is antisocial with social anxiety, so I am his caretaker. She argued that since he is over 18 that she doesn't have to talk to me about his care. Even tho she already confirmed that he was scheduled and already started the conversation.

Extremely rude. We went in on time for an appointment. Front desk lady checked me in (at least thats what I thought). The receptionist became extremely rude and condescending when I informed her we had Medical and not private insurance. She provided us with paper work and once we were done with the paper work she said we had to reschedule because we were LATE (it took me long to complete the documents) We had to take a day off from work to drive to Salinas. I called my doctor and asked to never be sent to this office again.

The resources worker Rosa Armenta is the most incompetent person I've ever incountered in a professional setting. I was put on early disability (which is her job to help me with) my claim didn't get filed until almost 3 months after. She's a joke! She doesn't care about helping the patients. She shouldn't be in a position to assist pregnant women or anyone!

Its says its open from 8-5pm m-f but Ive been calling since 8am and its now 8:15am and the phones are still off. I understand the receptionist need to settle in each morning but if you open at 8am you should be ready to start answering phones by 8am and not transferring our calls to the after hours call center that doesnt pick up either cause its not after hours!!
