I just want to thank everyone up at After Hour Animal Hospital for how kind they were to us this past Saturday night. Our sweet, goofy, bratty, handsome, very loved Great Dane had been diagnosed with lymphoma in August 2024. He had been getting chemo, and remained spry and still eating/drinking.... Until this last week.. his lymph nodes had come back, labs showed the cancer was in his liver too, and he started to go downhill quickly. We had made an appointment for euthanasia at our regular vet for the upcoming Tuesday, so we could try to spend the weekend with him. Well, he kept going downhill so we had to make the very unfortunate decision to try to euthanize Saturday night.
Thankfully, After Hour let us come up. Let us have time to mourn and give him some final love and goodbyes, and helped us with setting up the cremation and return of ashes. Everyone there Is very helpful and kind. They explained everything to us and kept a gentle sensitive tone through out during this very emotional sad time for us.

We miss him so so so so much and really wish he was still here with us, but we are grateful for our times together and for After Hour for helping us give him grace and a humane, gentle end to his suffering.

My 3-month-old kitten was very sick on a Saturday and I took him to the After Hour clinic. They did an excellent job of caring for my little kitten, explaining exactly what was going on and what my treatment options were. The veterinarian was efficient, though not overly friendly, but all I really cared about is that she knew what she was doing and took care of my baby cat. The standouts was the veterinary technician who helped check us in and provided kind and attentive care, and answered all my questions. I was specifically impressed when, while I was waiting to check out, the front desk clerk named Joe managed a difficult situation with another patient with Incredible poise and patience. I recommended this clinic for thorough care, and the professionalism of their staff.

We received the Best Care for an ER Vet Clinic ever. We took our dog in on Sunday, 1/19/25 who had recently been diagnosed with lymphoma. He had declined rapidly over the weekend. The staff was all very kind and concerned. The front office folks were great. The vet tech lady was super. Dr Mark Sharp (I think) was Absolutely Amazing. We were so impressed with the prompt care and compassion shown towards us and our little boy. Dr Mark was very helpful in answering our Quality of Life concerns and gave us detailed info in order for us to make the right decision for Cocoa (the brown one). Wonderful ER experience (sad outcome, but we knew that probability going into the office)

A little more than a week ago had a very bad day, a bad day every pet lover knows will eventually arrive. I had to say goodbye to one of my Feline Overlords, River. The staff at the clinic were excellent, from working with me on the phone when I was looking for a place to go, to seeing me through the decision. They were very near the end of their day, and likely tired and ready to go home. But all of them expressed their condolences or made me feel rushed.
Then tonight I get home to find this card in my mail. Everyone had taken time to write a note. It's a small thing, but it means so much.

Loosing a pet is something every pet owner knows they will have to face one day, and we choose to bring those pets into our lives, and our hearts anyway. Having people who obviously care and sympathize in those times is invaluable.

I cannot expresses enough my gratitude for the staff of the After Hours Animal Hospital.

Our still playful 13 yr. Old healer, Cisco, suddenly just laid down when out for a walk although he was barking and excited only moments before. Got him up enough to get him in the truck. Our vet was booked, we tried Hillcrest animal hospital but were put in this tiny room until we just left. Brought him home till WLR ER’s vet arrived at 5:00. I went in telling them maybe he got in some poison and explained even though he was 13 he still played like a puppy. Filled out a form, they carried my baby in, put my husband and I in a nice room, and kept checking on us with updates. Then the vet came in and it was a rupture and internal bleeding, explaining our options. We didn’t want him going through a surgery at his age and though it broke our hearts we said goodbye. The staff and vet simply could not have been any better and we thank them for their service and sincere compassion.

These people are amazing. I had to come in off the highway in my Peterbilt to get my little dog Gizmo treated quickly. Prompt, competent and compassionate service from start to finish. I can't recommend these folks enough.

24 hours ago, Lusy ran into a car and rolled under it. She was stumbling and nonresponsive Dr. shark and his team immediately responded. She spent the night receiving oxygen fluids and being monitored this morning. They called me and released. Her…. gratitude is beyond words.!!! Thank you

Patient, understanding, and just so amazing! 5/5

When I arrived, I was in distress. It was likely harder to get the information they needed out of me, due to my extreme panic. But that wonderful man at the desk, patiently helped me and walked me through everything they needed.

As I sat down, waiting to be seen, it seemed like he was everywhere at once! He barely sat still the entire time I was waiting. I didn't realize until I heard him telling someone else... But apparently they were the only emergency pet hospital open within over an hours drive, and they were being flooded with the entire area's pet emergencies.

That wonderful man working the desk was single-handedly doing what seemed like three people's jobs, and never once lost his sense of gentle understanding.

I never felt rushed, even under the circumstances. Everyone that I spoke to was extremely patient while I tried to fight through the panic and answer their questions as accurately as I could. Their patience and extreme empathy during a time of distress helped to calm me down. After my fur baby had been examined, they very succinctly told me the diagnosis, and the steps I should take moving forward.

This clinic conducted themselves with extreme professionalism during a time of hardship, and I am forever grateful for their caring attentiveness
