Had an appointment for 10am, come 1130 manager/nurse called us up to counter and says Dr is running behind and going to have to reschedule cause he has an appointment at 12 he needs to go to. I said this is going to be the second time and my husband is leaving for 3 weeks and needs his refills. All she could say is I don’t know what to tell you. I said tell me he will just call in his refills. She looked at his file and said not sure we can. I told them this has been the worse experience since day one. The nurse/manager I believe interrupts the doctor and then the doctor tells her to shhh. Dr is always googling information while your in your appointment with him. As we were leaving I asked for a refund of our copay, manager said I will do it. I said can you do it now so I have receipt. She said I will have to get into computer don’t I to do the refund, I said no you should do it on the actual credit card machine. She said I will have to figure it out and do it. Still no refund since the week before Thanksgiving.

I called to make a new patient appointment and was told they needed to check on my insurance before finalizing an appointment. Called back a few days later and they still had not followed up with my insurance providers to verify. I asked when they would be done with those checks and was not given a timeline. Instead, the receptionist recommended I go to an urgent care in the Foothills since they thought my symptoms were more acute and warranted that type of care. Albeit, I was still seeking to become a new patient since I recently moved to Yuma and needed a new healthcare practitioner and pleaded with the receptionist to help. Instead, she told me she couldn’t help me and that she had a client waiting for her at the desk and had to go. She then deliberately hung up on me. So unprofessional and very discouraging to see how healthcare practices here lack total empathy as well as seemingly not willing to give me an appointment even just for a regular checkup. Would not recommend.

The slowest staff ever!! They had no idea of the paperwork. Gave me an appointment and ended up waiting for like 3 or 4 hrs supposedly because the doctor did not see his morning appointments and they put us all together, why the hell they dont tell you that Asked me for paperwork twice...worst experience ever!!! The Doctor is ok I guess!! But the staff is the problem!!!

Need to fix the scheduling. If you need the patient to get lab drawn, don't schedule him/her past 2 PM. LabCorp closes at 4 PM. Or tell your patients to get it done first prior to arriving for their appointment. 🤦‍♂️
