I’ve been a longtime patient and at my most recent appointment my provider seemed to just not care at all. Most questions I asked I was given an I don’t know or vague answer. Provider seemed to be more concerned with discussing my no show and my reschedule than my healthcare. Life happens and patients miss appointments, which I take accountability for, but your bedside manner and quality of care shouldn’t come with an attitude because of this. It was very clear the provider wasn’t happy with me and it made me pretty uncomfortable.

Dr. Penny Burkett is great, had her for a primary for over 10 years now and all is well besides that they do get busy so make sure you set an appointment at least a few weeks before. The office is small and they should expand but the nurses and doctors are all very nice and helpful there. A++

This place is, for lack of a better term, "janky." It's cramped, old, too small, and doesn't have adequate bathroom facilities. In general, it's like walking into 1992. The health care isn't stellar either. Last time I went in for a physical, they forgot to do my blood tests, necessitating my return. Another time when they were drawing blood, the nurse didn't have adequate facilities, so she just balanced everything on her knee. I'm like, uh, please don't slip.

The last time was the last straw though. I went in to get diagnosed for Covid. Having never had it before, I naturally had questions. The doctor's response was basically, "I don't want to try to sit here and figure everything out while you breathe covid all over me." He couldn't get out of there fast enough. Nice bedside manner, buddy. Luckily for me, it's the last time I'll have to deal with it.

The staff is caring and attentive. Any questions I have had were promptly answered via phone or patient portal. Lab results are available quickly with a follow-up call. One of the better experiences I've had with a doctor's practice.

Office makes it extremely hard to make an appointment. You can only call to make appointments at certain times, and even then, no one answers the phone. After 10 minutes, they automatically forward you to voicemail, which they won't respond to until the next business day. And no website, so you can't schedule online either. I think I'll be looking for a new PP soon. What's the point of having a doctor if you can't ever go there...

I have been going to Tempe family practice for about 15 years now. I've always been treated with the utmost respect and Dr Alia and Penny Burkett are the best. They've always take their time out to answer any questions I have, they have patients with me, and they're always thorough. When I get my blood tests done the results are given to me immediately. And the staff office workers, nurse practitioners, others at work in finance, have always been professional, friendly, and respectful. I advise anyone to come to this office because it's the best.

Please get rid of Lisa from booking appointments! I have to start driving over there to make my appointments now. She told me my doctor was booked out for TWO MONTHS- I waited the two months and when I saw my doctor he said he was not booked up at all and he doesn’t know why she did that. Well hello fire her if she’s going to be doing stuff like that I had a very important surgery that had to be cleared for! And if anyone knows any surgery you have to be cleared within 30 days. You can’t be cleared anywhere more than 30 days out

I used to really like going to this office even though they have old equipment and they definitely need new upgrades since like 2010 but wow where do I start. First, I’m told to call a certain number for an appt since I’m recovering from COVID they don’t want me in the lobby. That’s fine. I call the number once I arrive . No response. I leave a voicemail and wait until the time of and call again. No one picks up. No one even returns my call prior to me calling the MAIN office. I call the main office because why am I being directed to call a number no one is answering and I’m out in my car waiting? The staff is busy gossiping and chit chatting what they are doing over the weekend while I’m there attempting to give them my insurance card so I can leave… terrible experience overall. It was okay at first but it’s gone downhill since.
