Village medical and the staff always provide a pleasant experience no matter the visit. No one enjoys Dr. visits but they are friendly, attentive, they genuinely care and will walk with you through your health care needs. They also have an app that is easy to use and allows you to communicate, refill scripts, set appointments and more. If you have your own PCP I promise you they are not as good as village medical!

My doctor Jennifer Maitra is amazing and cannot recommend her enough. However the front desk lady is so rude. I’ve had issues in the past, but more recently I called to try to make an appointment and she just talked over me the whole time and didn’t listen. I needed to get in immediately due to excruciating pain and she said ā€œthe earlier I can get you in is in June (2 months away)ā€ and then when I clarified there was nothing sooner she said ā€œwe’ve been on the phone for 5 minutes now and this is the best I can doā€.

It's was great. Both assistants and Dr Maitra took the time to find out the reason for the visit. I'm pleased with the care my mother received.

Needed to see my primary care physician at Village Medical on very short notice today. Was able to get in to see him and got excellent care and advice for my condition.

I can say this location is a very busy location each time I visit. I got there before my appt. They were running behind. But, no complaints because staff is very knowledgeable and polite and caring. When I got to see the doctor we talked about my test results and how I was doing with new medication. I was still having problem with trying to lower my pressure so I could be able get cleared for colonostopy. She explained what needed to happen and why. So, hopefully soon I will be able to get cleared for the procedure. I really like Dr Jennifer Miatra. I hope this location will be a good fit for my lo g term care.

Everyone was great. I love my doctor but this is the second time she has left me waiting a long time. I arrived at 9 for a 9:40 appointment like I was instructed. I was told I was the first patient and she wasn't there yet. I left there at 10:30 and she rushed me. I Was so disappointed it happened again.

First and foremost, My children have been patients of Dr Subhasis Maitra for 10 years. The first 7 or so of those, were great…..And then he closed Sunny Internal Medicine and joined Village Medical and moved his office……We noticed a change, little by little, over time. They became less caring, and more ā€œget in and get outā€. Dr Maitra went from being a very caring doctor with great ā€œbedside mannerā€ towards my children, to dry, to the point, and borderline rude.
Last year, My daughter started getting some pretty serious G.I. Issues and he had her sent for imaging. She had a procedure and some imaging was done and then we heard nothing for a while, the GI issues continued for months, so we brought it up again, and Dr Maitra referred us to a specialist. The specialist was irate with Dr Maitra due to what he was seeing on the images. My daughter needed more help. Dr Maitra admitted to dropping the ball and apologized. ā€œIt’s okā€ we said.
One of my children deals with some issues that require a therapists which we’ve also gotten a referral for. Dr Maitra has seemed annoyed at my child for these issues more than anything. I’ve picked up on this, as did my wife on a separate visit…..and unfortunately my child picked up on his sour attitude, as well
A few short months ago, we decided we were moving our children to another provider. We made the HUGE mistake in asking Dr Maitras office to release our records to another office. Now they knew I was removing multiple children from their care. I’ve since brought in two children for their annual checkups, only to be asked on the first visit ā€œoh, are you guys changing doctors?ā€, ā€œyesā€ I answered with hesitation. I knew they were pissed that they’re losing multiple patients.
We now only have two weeks left of the year with Dr Maitra, We had an appointment to bring our daughter in for her annual physical last week. Upon my arrival at 7am, I was told ā€œwe were calling your wife multiple times yesterday to inform you we can’t do her annual physical because we are 6 days out from her birthday, we called multiple timesā€ (we’ve also had this issue before where they swear they call and our records show they don’t) I told her, ā€œwell you actually called me ONCE but never left a voicemailā€, she then asked if my daughter was being seen for anything else, I told her yes, a persistent cough that we are really worried about, and an active skin rash, she informed me that ā€œyes, insurance would cover that just not the annual physicalā€, and she then brought me to the back at 7:05…….
The ā€œnurseā€ came in the room at 7:15 to tell me ā€œthe doctor should with you as soon as he gets here since your appointment was at 7:20. šŸ¤” At 7:30 I have a crying toddler in the room, and I have texted my wife asking for reassurance of the appointment time, she sends me email screenshots that asked us to be there by 7am. I was fuming, but stayed waiting
At 7:45, I informed my wife I couldn’t wait anymore with a crying toddler. I walked out, to find that Dr Maitra was not there still…. And I informed the two assistants in the back that ā€œI don’t appreciate being gaslit about my appointment time at 7am, they both rudely raised their voices and at the SAME TIME said ā€œno your appointment was at 7:20ā€ā€¦..AS IM HOLDING MY PHONE WOTH AN EMAIL STATING 7am. lol. I walked out, no cursing, no nothing.
Fast forward to today, my child STILL has a cough and rash, so we make an available appointment at a DIFFERENT Village Medical, (which I’ll be reviewing as well),
My wife took off work to take our daughter to an appointment, only to arrive and be told ā€œoh sorry, your appointment you made this morning was cancelledā€ā€¦ā€¦ my wife asked why, and she was literally told ā€œwe don’t have a reasonā€ā€¦..so she walked out.
Anyone reading this can connect the dots themselves. I had to google his old office name ā€œSunny internal medicineā€, to find they only had 2.5 stars lol. How did I miss this before? I strongly suggest against ANY Village medical, there are far better options out there. I guess just don’t trust a doctors office in a Walgreens.

had an appointment at 1 o’clock, note on the door said closed until one for office staff meeting. We stood outside until 1:15. we could see the office staff sitting in the lobby of the doctors office, having their meeting, totally ignoring the two patients that were standing outside that should’ve been in at 1:00.
No one ever came to the door to tell us anything.

This office staff and doctor have no respect for the patient’s time Yes!
Very rude and disrespectful.
