I do not recommend Adelante (Cherie DeShong) or SimonMed for women’s health services. My experience was marked by repeated miscommunications and confusion between the two organizations regarding my screenings. There was a serious lack of organization, updates, and communication, which left me in the dark and having to figure everything out on my own.

On the day of my screening at SimonMed, they couldn’t find the doctor’s order from Adelante in their system—despite it being critical and time-sensitive as I had to take time off work for appointments. I was left scrambling to reach someone at Adelante, which proved very difficult. Furthermore, after I have rescheduled and went to the appointment, SimonMed still kept on texting and emailing me to reschedule. This disconnect between the two providers made the process stressful and disheartening, and I will not be using their services again in the future.

I had an appointment scheduled three weeks in advance with Nurse Practitioner Sarah Tucker at the Goodyear office on 2/4/2025 at 10:30 AM. Upon arriving and checking in, I waited to be seen while the front desk repeatedly apologized for the delay. After multiple apologies with no update, I finally asked how much longer the wait would be. I was then informed that they did not know because the provider had started performing a procedure on a patient who was not scheduled for one.

Due to this poor scheduling and lack of consideration for scheduled patients, I had no choice but to cancel my appointment while still waiting to be seen. This experience was extremely frustrating and unprofessional, and I hope the office addresses these issues to prevent similar situations in the future.

The staff AND doctors are rude and unprofessional. It is acceptable for them to be late but God forbid you do the same as them even a minute late, you have to be rescheduled.
They will set you up with providers who do not specialize in couples or family therapy and waste your time.

I’m 30 weeks pregnant and this place the doctor is very unorganized… for the month of February I didn’t see dr. Mann due to him having surgery.. today I was scheduled to see him and I can early for my appointment with I always do and I waited over an hour just for me to be told he backed up with his appointment because of a procedure which went long than expected… so a nurse came and asked if it was okay for me to wait or reschedule because of his busy schedule… I was already been there for an hour and had a scheduled ultrasound at another location which I missed.. all because of me waiting so now I’m looking for another obgyn doctor because my current doctor isn’t organized when it come to keeping time schedule appointment… especially when I haven’t seen him in over a month already…

I waited 20 mins after my appointment time before I asked if I would be seen soon. Then I was sat in a room for another 30 mins waiting for the NP to come in for 2 mins to tell me I would need to go wait at the lab desk. Get to lab desk there is another 45 min wait. What was the purpose of this appointment? They only took my BP and weight. One hell of a checkup. 1/10/25 State Medical Board will hear about this.

Update: I still have not received my cancer screening kit, and they had the nerve to call me asking when my last pap smear was. They are more concerned about that than my health.

Update: it has been a month since I requested my cancer screening kit, and I still have not received it.

My doctor, Stephanie, was caring and listened to me. She's honestly the first doctor who has not treated me like a child, so I thought I was going to continue going here. Turns out the office staff and medical assistants don't do a good job. I went here because I get extremely dizzy and I don't want to continue living this way. I believe it's vestibular migraines. I was sent for blood work and the lab said they sent my results to my doctor on the 4th. I already have my results in their lab portal. It said area of concern is mchc 30.7 l. I googled this and it said possible anemia. Makes sense because I'm pale, cold, dizzy, tired, etc. I called my Drs office three times and they said I'm not anemic, that there's no concerns, that someone will call me back. Someone was instructed to call me three times. Nobody called. I was told a medical assistant calls with the lab results. I had to call them, because nobody called. My mother in law had low mchc and her Drs were concerned and gave her an iron infusion. My doctor is not concerned. I need a referral to an ENT or a neurotologist, but I think I might have to go to another doctor to get this.

I used to have no problems here, but after my doctor Kara Combs left it all went downhill. I have been I've had my two of my appointments canceled with the answer if "we don't know what you want us to do". The primary care I have no problem with the the other areas there like behavioral health, GYN, or bloodwork.

Such a wonderful experience getting my birth control (Nexplanon) here! The staff in the women’s health department are so kind and attentive. The provider worked around my schedule as I originally came in for the consultation appointment but then told me I could get the procedure done same day after I got off work. Jennifer talked to me during the procedure and made sure I was attended to when I began to feel lightheaded. If you’re feeling nervous or considering the Nexplanon for the first time, I’d highly suggest going here! This is my third time getting it and my best experience thus far!
