I myself have been driving over 30 minutes to see Tanya Fetters regularly for about 6-7 years. Both of my parents have also been long time patients there. She is a wonderful provider.

However, I brought my husband in to begin seeing Tanya as well. He’s been sick and we took the only time slot available with Tanya.

We arrived just a minute or two after 250 with an appointment time of 3pm. The lobby was completely empty, the receptionist starts the check in process and at just a minute before 3pm she tells me she needs to check with the provider about us being seen since we did not arrive 30 minutes early. That we may need to reschedule.

I tried to reason with her. I’m 8 1/2 months pregnant, we drove 30 minutes because he really needed to be seen. We were not late, I never saw any emails or texts saying you had to be there 30 minutes early or you’d be turned away.

First of all, I double checked the reminder email which does not say it’s necessary to arrive that early. Second of all, I maybe would’ve understood if we were late for our scheduled appointment time or they were busy, but neither were the case. She tells us we have to wait to see if the provider will see us. After about 10 minutes of waiting, she returns and says we’ll need to reschedule.

At this point, I’m flustered. There is no need for us to return, don’t switch our primary for us, we’re not going to drive 30 minutes to be turned away. We’re walking out and both receptionist start laughing. I turn around and say oh it’s funny? To which the receptionist replied yeah, bye to the lot of you.

Incredibly frustrating. If you want to skip the hassle of whatever ridiculous policies these girls are enforcing, just go somewhere else. I’ll be switching to a closer provider simply to avoid the receptionist in this office.

Amazing front desk assistant and staff. I was so disappointed on arrival to my appointment to find out Dr Brewer was no longer returning. Everyone knows how hard it is to RE-build with a new doctor...but when I met Dr Nadir🙌🏽love her. She will listen but she is straight no chaser...kind, down to business, works well with the staff making sure you taken care of see you next visit. Greatful to NOT have to leave my community for amazing care. Thank you AMA.

Today was my first visit and I have no complaints. I was seen at appointment time, staff was very nice, Dr Khan was very nice and started from step one to make sure I was going to get the right treatment and care. My kids see the Doctors here and recommend I switch. The care they have gotten by the doctors and staff was enough to make me feel good about switching.
Thank you!

Colton is very professional. My health checkup was done, he answered my questions, gave me lab results which were discussed so I could understand. The other staff members were very proficient, friendly and helpful. Thank you all.

I have been going to American Medical Association for the last five years since we’ve moved here. They are the best professionals. Doctors are very, very good. I love the whole group there.

BEWARE PATIENTS in sensitive situations!!!! If you need an emergency refill good luck!!!! Under unfortunate circumstances my home was flooded during a heavy rain from a leak that was previously repaired. However, my purse containing two of my most important medications one helping with a chronic cough that put me in the hospital last time I had it resulting in 7 days in ICU FOR PNEUMONIA AND my anxiety medication which I have consistently been on for upwards of 7 years. Without it my anxiety is near unmanageable and if you completely STOP taking your regular medication you can actually have a severe seizure! Which this facility should know. I’m a mother of two, coach volleyball and teach art masterpiece at my children’s school. I’ve now been without medication going on day three. I have barely slept my cough is rapidly worsening and I fear I may be hospitalized soon without the proper medicine. I’m getting ABSOLUTELY ZERO HELP FRIM THE FRONT OFFICE STATING “all the doctors are on vacation” I call daily and this is the answer I receive. With a practice that focuses on these specific issues it seems completely unprofessional and NEGLIGENT TO not have a prescribing provider to cover… I’m sick full of anxiety, on no sleep and now missing work because I’m unable to recover and maintain my functional health. I’m praying that these smart and capable doctors will help me stat. Otherwise, quite frankly this would be a very irresponsible way to run a practice. People could literally die without needed medication and to take a trip without coverage is not the ethical thing to do for your patients with severe conditions such as chf or chronic conditions involving severe illnesses and anxiety disorders. Now I’m unable to work and pray I don’t have to go to the ER DUE TO NO MEDICATION AS THIS ANXIETY AND COUGH ARE LEAVING MY BODY OUT OF COMMISSION. I will update the “All the doctors are on vacation” review soon with an update. I would never want another patient to experience this! Especially if your life depends on your medication! .

I have been trying to get a prescription filled for over 3 weeks. I need one of the doctors to deny the prior authorization for a medication that my insurance does not cover, so I can pay out of pocket, which I am willing to do once any doctor there denies the prior authorization. Which they haven't done in over 3 weeks, no matter how many times I have called to have it done they still won't do it.
Do not go to this doctor if you like getting your prescriptions.

I have been BEYOND BLESSED + GRATEFUL to have stumbled upon Dr KHAN and his team, years ago. I have a very unique kidney/urinary system, and a single solitary kidney… that is hanging on by a literal thread. By NO SMALL miracle, Dr Khan has truly spent hours and hours ( and multiple hospitalizations a month FOR YEARS ), doing everything possible to help this kidney hang on. I know it has been so challenging and difficult to treat, but Dr K spends endless time in helping me navigate this process. He is the most intelligent and caring Dr/Person, I have EVER had the privilege to know and help treat my unique kidney disease and condition. I truly trust him with my life, and finding a specialist- with the knowledge, care and kindness these days…. Is TOTALLY unheard of! If you need a nephrologist- don’t waste another SECOND of your time and get scheduled to see him! His staff is equally as fantastic as he is. I truly believe that Dr KHAN, is one of my angels- and that our paths crossed one day… over 6 years ago- and I credit HIM in very LARGE part- for keeping me alive, tweaking and babying this sole kidney of mine . Clearly, had I NOT had him and his vast knowledge, compassion and wisdom, I would have lost this kidney for sure- and then been in complete dependence of a dialysis machine every day. There will be a time inevitably, that that will be my journey- but until then… Dr K keeps me going, each and every day! FOREVER GRATEFUL. 🧡
