I am so grateful for the care and support my son has received at Stories Counseling. From the very first visit, the staff has been welcoming and professional, creating a safe and comfortable environment.

My son has really connected with Tony—he says Tony is easy to get to know, easy to open up to, and just a really cool guy. As a parent, it's such a relief to see my child feel comfortable and supported in counseling. Tony not only listens and understands but also provides great guidance that has helped my son grow in confidence and emotional well-being.

My past attempts at therapy always failed due to practices feeling like a cash grab. Once I discovered Tony and Stories Counseling, I finally got to understand what therapy should be. It should be a safe place where you can learn about yourself and about skills that can carry you through life. The other therapists are always nice when you run into them before/after sessions in the hallway, the atmosphere is nice, and the services are exceptional. Whether it be 1 on 1 therapy, group therapy, or the other services this practice has come to offer.

Tony was my therapist for many years and he made such a huge impact in my life. When I first met him, I was in such a dark place and he helped me stabilize and begin working through trauma I didn’t realize I had. I highly recommend Stories Counseling! I can say that they hands down help my family and I through some very traumatic times in life, some where we thought we may not comeback from. The team at Stories stuck by us through it all and have been there ever since. I cannot thank them enough! If you need any therapy I would say give them a call.

Upon entering as a walk-in with the intent of becoming a new patient, I immediately noted the absence of a receptionist in the modestly sized waiting area. Shortly after, a well dressed man with short grey hair appeared, though he offered no greeting or acknowledgment. Curious about his role, I inquired whether he worked at the facility. His response, delivered with a noticeable undertone of irritation, confirmed that he did. I asked if a receptionist was present (to get information as a new patient). He shortly replied that there was none.

Recognizing the unwelcoming nature of the exchange, I politely excused myself and began to leave. It was only as I was walking away that he asked if I required any assistance, an offer which, at that point, was insincere. As someone with considerable experience maintaining composure and professionalism, having served two combat tours in Iraq and enduring over two decades of chronic illness and injury while sustaining a successful career, I have developed a keen ability to read people and situations, especially doctors.

The individual’s demeanor, characterized by his disinterested gaze, dismissive body language, and sharp tone, conveyed clearly that my presence was unwelcome. Based on this encounter, I would strongly advise against seeking services at this facility. The therapist’s behavior reflects a concerning level of unprofessionalism, driven by an unhealthy ego, and suggests an underlying bias that could undermine the therapeutic environment. Shame really.
