I too work in the behavioral health field and need to refer patients in crisis to safe place to receive immediate treatment. I have worked with Lacey Greer on a number of occasions and she has been a Godsend. The admission process was streamlined and smooth. My patients have received the highest level of individualized treatment. I highly recommend and remain thankful for the quality of care / treatment provided. Thank you! I was inpatient here 2 weeks ago best place I could of gone. The staff actually try to desculate the patients. They don't talk down to you. It was clean. Many groups. They have smoke breaks will give you one even if you didnt bring in cigarettes. Or you can bring your own. The Dr's talk with you like your a human being. Only issue i had was i saw dietician twice she was supposed to write down soft foods because I have no teeth. Never happened!

Agave is a great clean facility with courteous staff! I work frequently with Agave Ridge and I’m thoroughly impressed with how well kept their facility is! All of the staff there are nice and friendly! If I were to take a family member to an in-patient mental health facility, I would take them here and trust Agave Ridge to treat them right and get them the help they need!

TL;DR Agave Ridge is new, but the doctors are amazing. The staff make or break a stay and every staff member was compassionate and kind. Food was mid.

This will not be short:

I stayed 7 days under their care and met the most wonderful staff a Behavioral Hospital could dream of.

The groups are usually the last thing mentioned on someone’s stay at an in-patient facility or the first thing mentioned on the worst aspects. I usually skip groups or visit one to confirm I indeed do not want to be there. At Agave I went to EVERY group. Each one was led by well trained amazing therapists. I laughed, had fun, participated, all around enjoyed each one!

The doctor on my unit far surpassed any of my expectations. Not for just a behavioral health hospital, but for any hospital anywhere. Dr. Mecham is the most brilliant, thoughtful, kind, and compassionate doctor I have ever had the pleasure of being treated by. While under his care I felt heard, protected, and advocated for. If I listed the rest of the staff that stood out for excellence it would be a very long list.

This hospital is new. As of writing this they have only been open 9 months. There are some kinks that need to be worked out. The food was ranging from terrible… to edible. Their policies need some fine-tuning. They range from the unusual to the illogical. They skewed my mood for moments of my stay and may destroy others with less fortitude for inconvenience.

While a staff can’t be “perfect”, they do their best to come close. The few negative interactions that I had were limited to two individuals amongst a hoard of diligent, caring, pleasant techs, therapists and nurses.

I stand firmly by my 5⭐️

P.S. There is another doctor there. Dr. Jones. He is the gold standard of doctoring. Mecham and Jones tag-team the entire hospital or at least the adults. These two will make history as the greatest doctors to ever wear a stethoscope. So no matter what you are in great hands.

Admitted in the adolescent program for 6 days. Much better than being at home, the techs are really nice and know how to talk to children to get to them. Better than any other facility for adolescents as there's a strict schedule and a routine to get used to. Not just watching TV but actually activities to help you out.

The experience I had at Agave Ridge was life changing. I cannot begin to thank the staff that works there for what they've given me. The doctors were available every day, the nurses listened and helped every patient on the unit. The groups were not mindless but very informative and I left with the tools I needed to help manage my emotions in a healthy manner. The food was great as well.

The only thing I would say I did not like was the last group I was in, I'm not sure what possessed the nurse to get on the topic of politics and telling people with severe anxiety & depression that this was the last presidential election and we were going to go into Marshall Law but that was highly inappropriate for the setting.

I recently stayed at the new facility on Ellsworth and Elliot. I was actually the first patient to go there. The staff was absolutely fantastic especially the Behavioral Techs. The facility smelled new and looked very nice. Although, they have operational procedures to work through, I have no doubt they are going to do great work with patients going forward.
