My daughter told her therapist that she feels like her dad is only nice when she’s not getting along with me. They had no reaction to this, even with years of parental alienation that led to a PTSD diagnosis. My son has struggled with suicide for years and his father took him off the meds and told the psychiatrist, who responded supporting that decision even though I have final say with medical decisions, and no one ever bothered to tell me this. The first time their “crisis team” talked to my daughter they tried to make her leave with her dad, she said she wasn’t comfortable with that and asked to speak to a police officer and they told her that doing so would only upset her father.

Do not bring your family here. They don’t care about you. They aren’t educated. And they aren’t going to make any half decent decisions about your mental health and safety. I wouldn’t send my worst enemy here. There’s bad reviews for a reason, listen to them. I wish I had.

This clinic has been a lifesaver for me!! They have amazing psychiatrists and the staff is always super friendly and make me feel important there. They are quick to help with any problems I have with my illness and medications. Highly recommend!!

They denied .e couples counseling and encouraged negativity. Who splits people up by telling them to stay away from their partner and move out.. encouraging them to be with others.... this is supposed to be a suicide prevention place not to make you want to commit suicide place

La Frontera is awful. Not just the workers but the building is as well. It's in a very trashy area. Homeless people are sitting outside the building. I was sitting in the waiting room then a homeless man that I previously saw sitting on the ground outside walked in and sat next to me. Moving on to the staff. When your trying to get registered don't expect it to be super short your probably going to have your first meeting about a month later. The staff don't care about the mentally ill patients they are only their for the money. Don't waste your time here It's not worth it.

I honestly feel traumatized from my experience I DO NOT La Frontera. Go anywhere elseI many horrible experiences!!!!!!! I had an intake one day, then asked to meet with a case manager and a phyciatrist on the same day which was a lot emotionally having back to back intakes.
It started out they appointed me to a peer support specialist. I sat in the lobby 30 minutes after appointment time. She finally took me back to the office, she said she didn't know if they called her name bc a lot of people's name sound like hers, she was full of energy, she had a lot of facial movements, seemed like she was on drugs, she was singing out in the middle of the meeting, she told me she had keys to the place and we could be there all day, I let her know I had other animals at home to tend to and that wasn't my intention. I was needing help with my SSI application. She wrote a bunch of stuff on it without really discussing what it was! I let my case manager know I wanted to talk with her about the peer support, she called right away and said some people hate or love that energy I expressed I was not one to love that and they changed me to peer support number 2. When she first arrived she announced that she was only in AZ till her parents died which seemed negative ok. Then she said I need to stop at the store so she went to a gas station to get her drink, then took us took welfare office and waited for us, Next visit war XO of the social security office. I have my 12 year old son with us. This peer support is cussing in front of him, talking about guys kissing her and then she puts her hand on my son's leg!!!!! I leaned into the situation to let her know mama bear doesn't play that! She went outside got her own paperwork and went to talk to the security guard. The next time she picked me up it was to go to the DMV to report a sale of a vehicle. The DMV ended up being closed ,she took us to check one other and then she wanted to stop at the store again to get drinks, she took us to the library and got out a hug tumbler to pour her drink, she told my son and I she would catch up she had to go the bathroom, then I saw her sneaking smoking a vape in her arm sleeve and blowing it out so I wouldn't see. I told me son I had a strange feeling she was drinking alcohol but I don't know, then she took me to a red box to drop off a movie I asked her at beginning, when I got out of the car and took 2 minutes to return my movie when I came back, the woman was smoking her vape in the car with my child!!!!!!🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 I didn't say anything yet, I asked to go to DMV as it was open now, she told me she couldn't wait for a few for us to do that so she could drop me off but not wait. She had already disclosed to me she didn't have any other appointments till 1 and it was 11. I wrote the case manager to let her know what happened. The peer support wrote me and said she was sorry for smoking in the car with my son and sometimes she forgets what car she's in!!!!!!! I told her it doesn't matter what car she's in it's illegal to smoke around a minor. My son got sick after that for 2 weeks. He was a premie and had lung issues. I want to sue this place if anyone knows a lawyer to do that.
I was notified my case manager was changing. I had been waiting 6 months to speak to a counselor. One was appointed in December but she didn't call till February and since she called wrong number, she never called back. I told the old case manager I was about to do a review on their establishment and then all the sudden a new case manager and a higher up manager called to make sure I was getting what I needed. They never told me if the peer support were talked to or what they did. I finally got a call from a counselor who was laughing when she called asking if I still wanted services I said I did. Then I came to meet her and she did not make eye contact or smile she just called my name, took me to the office, said she was looking at my goal I set 6 months prior, I told her I didn't even recall what that was at this point. She gave me a worksheet to lay down in stream and fl

If I could give negative stars to La Frontera EMPACT Apache Junction, I would.
My advice would be to stay as far away from this place as possible. They do not have your best interests in mind; they are only interested in getting paid for your being a client.
A "Case Manager" (let's call her Famie Jischer) never once called her client in almost a year, though she did text once asking for a social security number. Without identifying herself.
No managing of the case was observed. In effect, she is a case non-manager.
Bringing these and other grievances to her supervisor's and the clinic director's attention resulted in a "passing of the buck" wherein no one took responsibility for or was held accountable for the declining mental health of a client and his caretaker. Ignoring someone with suicidal ideation does not, in fact, result in improved thought processes, which the staff seemed blissfully unaware of.
Even when appointments were made, showing up in a timely manner only happened on the client's side, as the case non-manager was unaware of the appointment that had been made. Even though the caretaker had scheduled said appointment WITH that case non-manager. Her glaring ignorance of the services provided became apparent during this meeting. An accurate foreboding of what was to come.
You are better off foregoing treatment entirely than filling out the reams of paperwork and going through the hours of intake interviews only to be completely neglected once you're approved. This type of treatment only serves to make people feel, and even more importantly, believe, that they are not worth anyone's time or effort, which is contrary to what an agency such as LA Frontera EMPACT Apache Junction professes to be.
Once again, RUN, don't walk, to a different agency if you or a loved one needs mental health services.

My son is Autistic and I 100% recommend La Frontera Apache Junction for Behavioral Health Case Management (BHCM). My son has had the same struggles for 8 years. He was diagnosed autistic in 2021. I fought so hard for resources on my own and all I found were waiting lists and frustration until my son was inpatient at PCH for the 2nd time. They introduced us to BHCS that was helpful, but lacking in many ways. We were in crisis and found La Frontera in Apache Junction. It was life changing. We were fortunate to have Jennifer Andino assigned to our high needs case. With Jennifer and my son’s team, I felt like we moved mountains in 6 weeks. After years of struggles, we found a path to solution in 6 weeks. It still blows my mind. We accomplished what seemed impossible. I am beyond thankful. Not only do they provide a case manager for the patient, but they also provide a family support partner to be there for the family. When my son’s care was at a crucial state, the supervisor was on every call.

If you or your loved one are not getting the resources you need, I highly recommend La Frontera Apache Junction.

I cannot thank Jennifer Andino enough for her strength, knowledge, and relentlessness. We are all in a safer situation because of her.

If I could give no stars I would. I am SMI and haven’t even gotten a call back to be seen when I’ve left countless voicemails for Tamara Vaughn. Can’t be bothered to call back. Been trying to be seen since FEBRUARY. We’re in the end of April. Will be filing a FORMAL complaint as well. Outrageous the struggles I’ve had to endure because I can’t get the mental help I need when I’m SMI
