My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Allen's for several years now. We're both over 70, healthy & active, and we want to stay that way as long as possible. Deseret offers a convenient, professional location with the added benefit of Sonora Quest Laboratory, Moore Physical Therapy, and Moore Fitness - all in the same complex - with easy parking. Dr. Allen is open and easy to talk to, and sincerely interested in helping us set and achieve our health goals. This year when he implemented a new personalized care program, we signed up right away. We're delighted with the new plan. In contrast to most providers who offer about 10 minutes for a visit, Dr. Allen usually devotes about 45 minutes of his complete attention - listening, questionning, sharing advice, reviewing lab results, and working as a partner with us to stay healthy. Nurse Kim is warm, funny, kind, efficient, and smart. Bottom line? For most of my life, I dreaded 'calling the doctor.' Now I never hesitate to call if I have a question, or if something new pops up. Dr. Allen has created an environment where we feel at ease, empowered, and very comfortable with our care. Good stuff!

I went in to follow up on a strange skin/ankle biopsy result from my dermatologist. Dan ordered some tests and oddly prescribed medication for IBS. When I went in to get the test results he was irritated I hadn’t filled the IBS script (because I wasn’t experiencing IBS) and couldn’t interpret the unrelated hormone test he ordered. He shamed me for various things including being concerned and asking questions about blood results that were a bit out of range. I found him to be arrogant and lacking general medical knowledge about women’s health issues. I really wish Gold Canyon had better options for medical care.

This is the best family practice I have ever been to! The staff are always friendly and courteous. Dr. Allen is so so kind and courteous. Dan Finney always makes my day when I see him. And Roxanne Rea makes me feel so welcome every time I see her. The MA’s help me anytime I need anything and are quick to get my stuff to the pharmacy.

I have been going to this doctor's office for almost 15 years. I usually don't need to go to the office unless I am feeling ill, which is allergy related sinuses, or to have my annual wellness check. So today I called to see if I could get an appointment, due to coughing and sinuses, and the receptionist, asked if I did a covid test, I said well no, it's my sinuses, she would not make me an appointment, I asked where am I going to get a covid test if not at my DOCTOR'S Office? She said to go to pharmacy or urgent care!! OMGOSH!
So in other words don't go to your doctor (health care provider) if you are ill!! My insurance wants us to see a doctor, cause they charge you if you go to urgent care or ER, but my doctor will not see you if you are sick! Shake my head...
Now, it looks like I am in need of a different doctor, cause I will Not be going back!

Today I had the absolute pleasure of getting Botox for my very first time with Dana. She was so patient, so professional, so caring, so clean so informative and so fast!!! She took the time to thoroughly explain everything to me and explain everything to me in a way I understood. She reassured me so many times!!! Anyone wanting Botox Dana is definitely your lady!!! I’m not sure if she was just that good with her technique but it didn’t even hurt! I will definitely be coming back and bringing my friends with me!!!!!!!

DO NOT waste your time or money at this pathetic place they call a Doctors office. They turned away my wife for having "Mercy Care" insurance. They wouldn't even see her or let us pay out of pocket to have my wife seen today. We waited all day for this appointment and wasn't able to be seen because they "don't take" Mercy Care. I've never been more disappointed and frustrated at a Doctors office. I've heard of Doctors offices not accepting insurances but have NEVER been turned away. A lady named (KATE) came up to the front and tried explain why they wouldn't see my wife today and the whole time she was smiling and smelting as if it was funny that they couldn't help us or see us today. I would have never wrote this 1 start review but Kate a completely and totally unapologetic and thought the whole situation was funny and couldn't stop smiling and laughing. My family has been going to this doctors office for over 10 years and have never in countered someone as rude and malicious as this Kate lady.
