"Own your healthcare" is a motto I've taught and practiced my whole life. It's not even possible at Cardiovascular Associates. This place is built around the convenience of physicians and staff. I've had two visits here and both were a waste of time and insurance money. The first time I came was with a referral from my FNP the first thing the Doctor asked was "so why are we seeing you today?" Um if you had read the note from the referrer you would have known, instead you just look like a moron. We finished with "everything looks fine". The second trip was a "two part" with my wife and I both coming in. He recommended a ultrasound on my leg and a heart ultrasound and stress test for my wife. In setting up the appointment they couldn't seem to figure out how to do the two ultrasounds on one day and I told them to forget it for mine. My wife set up an appointment for two separate days for hers then was told that she would need a separate appointment for consultation on each test. Now that's four trips for two tests. So what we have here is a satellite office where Drs. set their schedule for their convenience and therefore the support staff also comes and goes. Get it? We don't want to pay an Ultrasound Tech to be here full-time so we can do you tests back to back, we can't review your results for two scans because the Dr. is overbooked because he's only here four days a month. Own your healthcare, at $600.00 a visit he/she works for you not the other way around. It's time each of us take a stand. (I'll get off my soapbox now)
