I’ve used this pregnancy center for all three of my children. My eldest is 10 and I am always so pleased with the rapport the ladies build, the privacy they allow you to have in such a delicate time, how thoroughly I feel they have taken care of me and my needs and how welcoming the staff and volunteers are. Always smiles and always willing to help. They have great program where you can watch informational videos about pregnancy and family life, answer a few questions and earn points for various baby products, including diapers! Love this center, love the program and love all the ladies that dedicate their time to love mammas! I would like to mention that this is not a drs office in case anyone was unsure of the centers responsibilities. This is a facility to help you get going in the right direction for your pregnancy, provide insight and support but they are not the ones to diagnose you or give you your full prenatal care. They are support during your pregnancy so please be sure to schedule with your OB too!

Came here to try and figure out where I’m at with my pregnancy, how far along I am, the help I can get etc etc… Luckily the staff here was amazing with that, and I truly appreciate it. Very good care in that department.

My one and major complaint was how much my other issues and concerns were completely disregarded. They mentioned being a Christian-run foundation, and I respectfully mentioned how I have experienced religious trauma from the same abuser that they wanted to help provide safety from. Just a light yet clear comment that Christianity is a very tough topic for me, yet I fully respect their views. First lady I told was respectful in turn.

Second one who saw me immediately brought up how Christianity is the “only thing that will truly help me” after mentioning my health history, as WELL as the aforementioned Christian-related trauma (diagnosed PTSD, which I also mentioned). I said it made me anxious with the topic and said before how I wasn’t ready to explore religion on my life, yet I felt extremely dismissed. I was outwardly uncomfortable at the MULTIPLE mentions of having God in my life - and while I understand this is a Christian organization, disregarding someone’s clearly stated discomfort and trauma isn’t doing anyone a favor. I just want help for my first pregnancy. 🥲 There is a difference between sharing personal experiences and shoving beliefs down someone’s throat disguised as compassion, and it was 100% the latter.

You’d think with a service that handles potentially life-changing situations (ahem, pregnancy) that they’d be compassionate over other tough life matters. I had to remind the staff of my trauma more than once, yet all the times weren’t enough. I just wanted a pregnancy test. 😅

EDIT: Year later now. The symptoms that were apparently “very normal” as said by these women were actually not at all. I almost lost my life with this pregnancy. No, it’s not normal to lose the ability to breathe and walk at around 5-6 weeks. I was too nice in my first review. I’d recommend only using this place to get a yes/no answer, and then find professionals. But nobody cares about your body as long as the baby is healthy, right? 🙄

I went there. The front desk lady got my appointments quick. I got some pretty ultrasound pictures. They were very respectful and professional with there work. I prefer river region in Prattville!!!🌼🌼
