Shortly after speaking with Kelsey and making an appointment at the Daly City office I received an email stating that my appointment had been changed to a time that I had said I was unavailable. Several phone messages over several weeks went unanswered. The day before my appointment I called a different number associated with the business and stated the problem. I was put on hold, then told 'she said you can come by after hours.' When I went for the appointment I was met at the door by Kelsey, who handed me a piece of equipment and some papers. I was told by Kelsey that she had someone on the phone and couldn't talk to me at that point, but that she had left her phone number on a post-it stuck to the equipment box if I should have any questions. I felt that the equipment was not working properly and had questions, but never received an answer to any voice messages that I had left at the office or at the number that Kelsey had written down. Included paperwork stated that the unit was to be returned within two days or a $50/ day charge would be incurred, to a maximum of $4000 after 30 days. I went to the office during business hours to return the equipment but there was no answer at the door. I spoke to customer service at my insurance company to be sure that I would not be billed for services or equipment. I still have the equipment twenty months later and have never once received a call back. I have just received a bill for $4000.Avoid this place.

CCSD and DR KRAM (or is it Dr SCAM?) seem to be a total shady operation. My experience has been HORRIBLE! Avoid this scam operation. Save your time, nerves and money.

Billed $5000 and provided absolute no health care, nothing but frustration and headaches.

Never got to interact with Dr Kram, or any actual physician. He is NEVER available.

Terrible service during sleep study. Double billed me for the at home study and never even provided test results until I opened a formal complaint via my insurance and threatened to take it further. The results (which previously could not be found but then suddenly appeared) revealed they clearly did not provide any actual treatment and proved my case for the over billing. Alas, this still didn’t seem to help resolve the billing error.

No one except reception answers their phone. They will only offer to schedule consultations with a nurse or other non physician, who cannot actually advise but for which they will bill you a ridiculous fee. Forget trying to get any actual healthcare or fix any clerical issue.

No one would address my concerns. I made 16 calls, sent multiple emails, filed a grievance with my insurance, left messages for the head physician, all to no avail.

I enlisted my insurance provider Anthem Blue Cross to assist. They explained to me how this operation is intentionally over billing the insurance and then writing off the rejected portion as a tax deduction which ensures they pay no tax on the payments they receive. To add insult to injury, they also double billed and held me liable for the rejected over-billing.

They're cheating you as a patient as well as a taxpayer.

6 months of follow ups and continuing escalation, I finally got thru to their partner organization to help address the $1850 duplicate billing CCSD continued to bill me for. But only because I was accidentally copied on internal emails where they were arguing and blaming one another. When I chimed in to ask how they were going to resolve this issue, someone thanked me for pointing out an opportunity for them to correct an issue with their partner company. But they never admitted the error (which it seems is actually their business model) or apologized for the horrible experience and total lack of health care.

In the end, they “wrote off” the $1850, and finally stopped billing me. So yes, they just used it as a tax shelter and probably continue to over-bill others who are less observant and tenacious with regard to injustice.

What a freaking headache.

My insurance directed me to use this clinic as they are in-network. I've tried calling them for weeks to schedule an appointment, and they do not answer their phone or return my calls.

After weeks of calling I was finally able to schedule an appointment. They have now cancelled my appointment twice due to not having equipment at their office. Their customer service is worse than Comcast.

I switched to California Center for sleep disorders because I was getting horrible treatment from another organization (Penninsula sleep center) Because of my terrible experience with penninsula i did not have great expectations when I contacted California center. I was more than pleasantly surprised. The day prior to my appointment I received a call from the nurse technician Natalie. She was amazingly nice and friendly. She walked me through the paperwork with the patience of a saint. She was equally helpful and friendly during my office visit. Dr. Ruddy was Perfect for me. The doctor at Penninsula treated me like just another item on an assembly line and never got my prescription right in 4 months. Dr Ruddy was attentive and intuitive. He asked what I felt were extremely pertinent questions and His concern for my welfare was obvious. Dr Ruddy’s Expertice was obvious as was his concern for me. His treatment was tailored to me and is working well. I would strongly recommend California Center for sleep disorders to anyone looking for professional and caring treatment.

I have never had such a poor experience with a provider - more than a month after the initial appointment and with the expectation that i would schedule (just schedule!) an at home sleep test, still nothing. I called two weeks in and one of the associates mentioned that they were waiting on insurance. I called my insurance and found out they never heard from them.

This is your bread and butter.

If you are considering this place, go somewhere else.

If I could give no stars I would. I've NEVER had such terrible experience with ANY establishment! The don't answer the phone, they don't return messages! I've been trying to deal with them since the beginning of June!
Kelsey (sp?) has not returned my many attempts to contact someone for the results of my sleep apnea test that I returned on July 20th. They said I would be contacted in 2 weeks for the results.
No one has contacted me and my calls to that office has only again gone to a machine😡

Double billed (and denies), multiple delays (months) for sleep study and results. Hard to get a response when leaving multiple voicemails and emails. Online care only. Seems fraudulent. I reported to medical boards and Wells Fargo

Honestly one of the worst experiences I have ever had. I waited 14 days to have my telehealth appointment and then cannot get them to answer the phones to schedule my in-lab sleep student. Awful awful awful experience. I cannot stress enough, how you should avoid this place.
