I had an issue with my cost estimate vs. what was actually billed by my insurance company. I tried calling my insurance company first, but they were less than helpful. So I decided to call the billing team at Myriad. They were AMAZING! I spoke with Vanessa, and she was so kind. She ended up helping me out with my account. But I was blown away by her customer service.

was supposed to receive my results on the 14th. it’s now the 22nd. if you have a choice go through another company , not worth paying and waiting on them due to their own mistakes.

Terrible customer service/ patient centered care. All they want is your money— they proceed with claim filed with insurance and then are unable to allow for the out of pocket cost, which is half the price. Billed my insurance 2,200 when the out of pocket cost is 250. Will be telling my OB to find a new genetic testing company. No wonder my insurance company doesn’t work with them!

Terrible company, they waste your time. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT use this company for your blood work testing. I'm going into week 5 waiting for my results. Every single week I reach out and get the same run around from this company, promising me it'll be ready by the following week/end of week, but it's never the case. They ask for 2 weeks for your results, well I gave them 5 and I've finally had enough. There isn't an excuse in the world to hold back my results for 5 damn weeks. I know the company doesn't care but these results are extremely important to my family and my future child, and by pushing off the results every single week they are causing enormous stress on my family. Do yourself a favor people and use any other company. I could've had peace of mind by now if I had used any other Lab, what a shame.

dont waste your time with this outfit. they cant even build a website that works or provide decent customer service or even answer their phone. I would not trust an fn thing they say...soon to be on the ash heap of history as a business

Headline: wife & I got a $2,600 BILL for genetic testing?!?

Ordered through her doctor's office, and we received a document that stated we could pay $349 each by not going through insurance. We ended up getting this $2,600 bill so I called them right away.

They explained that they billed insurance and that was their contracted rate. Given I had not hit my deductible for the year, this is $2,600 out of my pocket vs. the $748 total that I was expecting to pay.

I told myriad that I was operating under the expectation of a $748 because that's what their own document says! They said, nope, it's too late because it was billed to insurance. I was never given that option to choose and they're not willing to do anything about it.

This company is a scam, not looking out for anyone's best interests. They said, but you didn't sign into your profile to review the estimate. What profile? This is just something ordered by the doctor, why do I have to jump through hoops and "sign up" for your system? Unbelievable.

Their customer support is very bad! They can’t provide the tracking id of the shipment even if they shipped it.

I am pregnant and I had a routine visit at my OBGYN. The doctor's office drew blood for routine testing. My doctor's office sent my blood sample to a Counsyl without my knowledge of them being an out of network provider and with ZERO knowledge of there being any charges for the routine testing. After a month or so I received a bill for $350 from a company called Counsyl. When I inquired about the charges they advised me that they were for genetic testing services for a blood test sent by my doctor. I advised the Counsyl representative that we were never made aware of the charges prior to the testing and we would have never consented to the testing (which we now have found out is not routine but elective). The Counsyl representative told us that they send out an email and text message about the charges. I advised the rep that I never received an email or text and we never responded with authorization to run the test. The rep told me that they just assume we got it and do not wait for a consent response acknowledging the charges. This is a sham and I am not liable for charges I was not made aware of. It is like charging someone to exit a building without fist telling them there is an exit charge when entering. Flat out wrong. We will not pay them and I would like Counsyl to clear our balance and send confirmation that we owe them nothing.
