Juanito Dario Austria MD is an amazing and most caring physician! My mother has been seeing him for almost 4 years and listening to him, the way he has been treating my mother with such care and patience - just melts my heart. Dr. Austria’s attentiveness and kindness puts my mother and anyone listening to him at eased. He takes time to explain his treatment and provides easy instructions that you can understand. He also has a wonderful Team, his medical assistant - she is very caring and personable. You can tell that she really loves her job the way she takes care of her patients. Can’t forget about his nurse Amparo, she is fantastic; she mirrors Dr. Austria’s wonderful qualities! We are just very sad to learn that he will be retiring soon.

Dr. Lee was incredibly kind and patient, and took the time to explain everything in great detail. I really appreciated how thorough and attentive he was throughout the entire appointment. Bethany Cardenas is really sharp. She knows what she's doing and goes about it in an efficient and personalized manner. There has seemed to me that objective measurements of hearing are at best only estimates and that the subjective evaluation by the audiologist is paramount in the success with hearing aids of the patient, and Bethany seems to me to be able to call on that level of subjectivity (call it experience if you will) to the benefit of the patient. Others I have encountered in the past have not been able to do this.

I had a great visit with Dr. Austria, he listened to all my concerns and prescribed medications to deal with my condition. In addition, Angelica, his assistant, is great, the best medical assistant I have dealt with at any Kaiser facility. Thank you Dr. Austria and Angelica for a great visit!

Unfortunately I've have felt since my last interaction with Dr. Mah (video conference last fall) that my concerns are touched on and brushed off as minor. I hoped that in person this last appointment would be better. She heard my concerns but I feel I get the minimum exam and bloodwork. My sister/nieces tell me the care/tests they receive (@ other Kaiser locations) and it is different for me.

I have typically had to follow up on test results prior to hearing from my doctor. There was a concern which I reached out to her about, she didn't reply and just had the learning dept contact for me a class.

I had more personal care and thorough exams/tests when Adult Care was @ Kaiser SSF.
