***2 Jan 25 Update***
After seeing my review, they reached out to my wife and sought to do what should have been done immediately. Initially, they were looking for the specific replacement frames to order for her. She suggested a pair they had in stock that was comparable in order to save time, and she did like those frames as well. They happily agreed and she finally picked them up today. She is happy with them and glad to be able to have glasses again. In the end, it was a hassle, undo stress for her, and a lot of wasted time.

My wife and kids had used this optometrist for the past couple of years. I never could as they were always booked for 3+ months out.

She provided her old designer frames as they were still good, and she liked them. Today my wife went to pick up her glasses and whomever Okaloosa Eye Care contracts the lens crafting/mounting to, destroyed the frames. The response was more less, we another pair frames to complete the order. Before my wife had left Eye Care said they were going to reach out to the crafter to see what can be done. This is POOR business! We are doing business with YOU, whomever you contract out to handle the other half of the job is on YOU. Any issues on that end are between Eye Care and them. This should have been fixed by replacing the lens immediately and working out the issue on their time.

We will NOT ever use this place again and will let everyone we know this is how they handle issues.

I had a fantastic experience at Okaloosa Eye Care with Dr. Chelsea Evans. They were professional, thorough, and caring. The clinic was well-organized, and the staff were friendly. It is also located on main street so it gives you that friendly small town feeling with a southern charm inside and out. I highly recommend them for anyone needing eye care!

The office is very nice, the office staff were all super nice, and Dr. Batson gave the most thorough and knowledgeable eye exam I've ever experienced. Plus she is so personable along with all the staff we met. We will be going back regularly.

Dr. Batson and the staff at Okaloosa Eye Care are wonderful! I’ve been going there for over 10 years. Our insurance changed a few years ago so I had to go to a different provider for a couple of years. I went back to Okaloosa Eye Care because I feel more comfortable with the care I receive.

My wife and I went to Okaloosa Eye Care for exams and glasses. First off, Dr Riggs and her staff were great; attentive and through- Five stars. However, one of the receptionists was terrible. We had stopped there to ask some general questions and pickup new patient paperwork. We went back a few days later on Oct 12 to make appointments for both of us. I asked about the Doctors and the insurance they accepted. I gave the receptionist the new patient paperwork along with ID and insurance cards for both my wife and myself. I made appointments in early December for both my wife and myself. The receptionist gave me an appointment card with the time and date and BOTH of our names on it. When we arrived for the appointments we were told that my wife didn’t have an appointment. When we asked how could that be as we made the appointments more than a month in advance, the same receptionist that made our appointments said that my wife said she didn’t want an appointment at that time! Firstly, my wife didn’t speak to her when I made the appointments. Secondly, we gave that same receptionist the paperwork, IDs, and insurance cards for both of us and received an appointment card with both of our names on it. Obviously that receptionist had made a mistake, but she tried to blame my wife and make the whole office think my wife was a difficult person. When my wife insisted that they fix that receptionist’s mistake, she tried to have my wife see another Doctor. When my wife insisted that she see the Doctor that she made an appointment to see, that receptionist threatened my wife saying that it may take several hours to see Dr Riggs. When my wife said she still wanted to see Dr. Riggs, that receptionist repeatedly said that it was ā€œYour Choiceā€ implying that if my wife had to wait several hours it was my wife’s fault. Fortunately, Dr Riggs and her staff were able to quickly work my wife in.
The next day we spoke to the Office Manager, Amy, about the incident, both the mistake with making the appointment and that receptionist’s attitude about it, blaming my wife and making my wife out as a difficult person. We showed her the appointment card with both our names along with a couple of appointment cards we had just gotten; all from that same receptionist, in order to show it was all the same handwriting. The Manager said that she would take care of it and bring it to everyone’s attention. When my wife said she though an acknowledgement and an apology would be appropriate, the Manager said that she didn’t want to ā€œsingle anyone outā€. This wasn’t some faceless person in the back office that did this. We know exactly who made the mistake with the appointment, who copped the bad attitude, and who tried to put the blame on my wife. She did that to our faces.
We don’t understand why that person wasn’t being held accountable.
Other than that receptionist and the lackluster response from the manager, everyone else was wonderful.

Dr. Evans is absolutely amazing and so sweet. You can tell how much she cares for her patients. She listens to you and has a wonderful sense of humor. Eye exams are not fun, but she definitely makes it a great experience. The ladies in the front, at the counter are amazing, and the feedback I got helping me find the perfect pair of glasses, I can't even thank them enough. Keep up the great work guys! 10/10 recommend
